Taking Stock

This week, Chives and John take a look at Alternate Trading Systems, or ATS. These have transitioned from a small part of the market to representing more than 90% of retail market orders, according to Chairman Gensler in a 2022 Bloomberg interview.

Also covered are emergent new models in the ATS space, such as tZero, and other potential developments in the space such as Block Transfer with a custody-first focus.

This week Chives focuses on regulation in the Transfer Agent space, and we'll touch not only on recent SEC action against TA but on the broader regime, and how we've seen a variety of consolidation in the market sector.
