Talarico Wins Texas Democratic Primary, GOP Runoff Ahead
Texas voters have delivered the first major primary results of the 2026 midterm season. State Rep. James Talarico secured the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate, defeating Rep. Jasmine Crockett. On the Republican side, Sen. John Cornyn and Attorney General Ken Paxton will face off in a runoff after neither reached the 50% threshold.
