 As a singer and songwriter Sophia may (@sophiamaymusic) achieved a lot of success including "the #1 spot in the US Billboard Hot Dance Airplay Chart for three weeks in a row with “I CAN’T HELP MYSELF” (Nervous Records) and was voted #2 Dance Airplay Song of 2008 in Billboard. It was #1 on Hot 96 Charts in the U.S."  She has also worked with the likes of 50 Cent, Nelly. Gloria Gaynor during a music career that was steadily on the rise. After a brief hiatus she pivoted and found time to focus on her passion in being an advocate for mental health .  Her most important achievement to date (second to her beautiful daughter) is her mental health advocacy and holding a safe space for men.  As a certified health nurse her "viewpoint is that there is a gap where men are not assessing services as much as women, and to help our men will ultimately support our women."  Tune in and learn about her career, acknowledging it's ok to be happy and her upcoming app @mendable.

DevAB once thought of a career in basketball.  It's no surprise that even during that time people were telling him that he should pursue music.  2020 changed a lot for everyone including his direction in life and here we are. After releasing his debut EP 'Questions' that is the one thing I don't have... any questions as to where he's headed.  While he may not have been in this business long he is authentically gifted vocally and as a writer as well as a strategic business man.  I am glad to have had the chance to get to know him now... because that is surely what this is... just the beginning.

NJAYC is a rap artist and producer born and raised from Kansas City, Missouri. He started playing the piano and saxophone at a young age and fell in love with music. Being that it's Women's History Month and I wanted to make sure I showcased a woman each week. Tomorrow at 4:44am PT I'm releasing a second episode that features another amazing woman - Tasha Mackk.  As founder of Black Girls In Media she has created an amazing platform and there is so much more to come from her.  I was happy she had some time to sit down and talk about the inspiration behind her brand, becoming diverse in her skillset and where she WILL take her company.  I've learned a lot from her and am continually inspired by her vision and bravery.
