In the third episode, we scale up and discuss the similarities and differences between the interdependencies of a firm in the global south vs the global north. We are in coversation with Shalin Bhatt from, Rotwein and Blake Associates working in, USA, and Gowtham Srinath, working with Mindspace Architects, India.
In this episode, we look at the different agencies that affect an architctural practice. Talking about his collaborations with professionals from different fields, Ant - from Frankie Pappas International, based in South Africa - gives us an insight into his work. Frankie Pappas Internatinal has been voted as one of the top 20 emerging architects in the world. They describe themselves as a collective and their mantra is 'wonderfully similar, incredibly different'.
We bring to you another series of Tales Beyond the Tackboard in collaboration with CEPT’s Kurula Varkey Design Forum. KVDF is an annual design forum held by the students to discuss themes relevant to architecture across South East Asia. This year’s theme focuses on the interdependencies within the profession of architecture. In this episode, we delve into the web of interdependencies of an architecture student. We are in conversation with students from the Faculty of Architecture, CEPT University and Nirma University in Ahmedabad.
