On a brisk November day in 1968 at Hughes Stadium, Christian Brothers High defeated Sacramento High 26-24 in football, marking just the fifth time Brothers had ever beaten its long-time rival. Coach Dick Sperbeck remembered it was one of the most important football victories in CB's history. That event is recalled in a round-table discussion by six members of that '68 team.

In 1971, at Santa Clara's Buck Shaw Stadium, Steve Cippa made collegiate football history with his successful drop-kick for an extra point.

As Steve says, "It was a novelty."

Ed Cain was a prominent Sacramento businessman, politician and at the time of this 1991 interview, the oldest living graduate of Christian Brothers High.
