I started writing these stories a month or so after losing my wife, and two years from that date, Nov 17th, I will conclude the story. I may return for a sequel someday, but for now, I will leave the lives of this village open and neverending. My life continues to evolve and I am being shown a bright new horizon the I had never seen before. That is the path I am choosing and Isabella and Corbie have things well in hand. Thank you for listening, and being here with all of us. We will all be here whenever you need us. Love always, John

Now that summer has passed, we continue on to December and the conclusion of the first arc of our story. As described in "A perfect Winters Day," the Manor house, built by a long-vanished family, is used for public ceremony, gallery, workshops, lodging, and the home to some of our older citizens who feel more comfortable not living on their own. Some of them are mystery fans who just can't wait to have an adventure. This one involves young Adam Egerton, on the trailing edge of childhood, is learning who he is growing to be as an adult. But behind it all, an even bigger mystery is brewing.
