Welcome back to this week's review of chapter 5! We've had some fun reading and rereading these chapters to prepare for these episodes and our hope is that you all can hear just how exciting they are, especially this one, if you like action movies, you'll enjoy chapter 5.

Now, you may be asking, why should I read chapter 5? I can answer that for you, the reason is because by now, you'll have hopefully read chapters 1-4 and are exciting for the continuation of the story. If you haven't yet, then hurry and do so! With that out of the way chapter 5 goes on to show us more of the bleak human existence that lower class citizens experience in the Ellonist Republic.

Hello everyone and welcome back to Tales of Agmar. While we've been super busy with the editing and preparing of the book, we almost missed making this episode. However, thanks to modern technology, and my wonderful wife, we were able to get it done. So! let's talk about it. What is chapter 4 about? I'm glad you asked. Chapter 4 gives us our first look of an environment outside of Gander's home. That place is the now war torn and occupied streets of Gander's home planet, Devos.

We also get the introduction of a new character by the name of Quintest! He's a pretty exciting character and is an important minor character overall, perhaps important enough for his own spin off one day, but we'll find out more later.

We're back at it again this week folks! While the episode is shorter than last week, we didn't want to spoil anything and I was too excited to continue editing the book, we are talking about an important chapter of Tales of Agmar: Gambit - Book 1.

It's important when writing a book that you have moments where the following happen:

• Cultural building/exploring moments
• Emotional ties between characters/objects are explained
• Places where your characters work out what in the world is going on

I would argue that every good book has something like this. It will of course be different for each writer but if you are looking to write your own book or story, I would encourage you to consider having moments like these along the way.

This week we are coving the Dinterlands Merchant Fleet and the associated ships built by our master craftsmen, the Forgeborn. Slowed down by their more tedious and religious ways of creating everything as a work of art, the Forgeborn of the Dinterlands have many unique and powerful ships. Because of this, we've had to group them into classes more so based off of description than actually builds or blueprints.

Here they are:

• Barges
  • These are the backbone of any cargo operation in the Dinterlands. Made to be small but still house enough items to turn a profit.
• Buggies
  • The combative vessels of the Merchant Fleet. These ships are the only kind not made to hold cargo but instead fight off enemy raiding vessels.
• Water Bags
  • Large cargo ships with the ability to haul more than just a simple profit turning amount of cargo.
• Baddies
  • The ultimate ship in a Barron's personal fleet of ships. Owning one of these means you've made it in the shipping and fulfilling business.

This week we are covering the Theocracy's Navy. If you're a fan of steampunk or dieselpunk you'll like where this faction is headed. The head of the Theocracy has his people working towards building a better life for themselves. Having only recently broken away from both the Middle Kingdom and the Dinter Lords. This was within the past 100 years.

To achieve this, they need a navy powerful enough to prevent their old rulers from ever getting close enough. This new navy is unlike anything modern Agmar has seen and includes ships such as:

• Cutter
  • Small and close to what one could call a speed boat; the cutter is able to work both on the open ocean and in deeper land locked bodies of water.
• Frigate
  • A generalist similar to the Ships of the Line from the Middle Kingdom; these frigates are no longer made of wood and canvas. Instead, they are pure metal monsters and the first ships the Theocracy ever used against their enemies.
• Lancer
  • Thanks to the Forgeborn's RND abilities, Lancers and the newest ships in the fleet. These will be key to getting the upper hand on the Middle Kingdom and freeing the Colonies.
• Transports
  • Just like it sounds like, however, thanks to more freedom's civilians can own these ones too

This week we cover everything that the Middle Kingdom, and by extension house Wynholt, have to offer on the high seas. The Queen and her noble council have yet to improve upon the age of sail technology they have been using for the past 100+ years as it has been deemed adequate. Instead, they believe that numbers are the answer to witling down the Theocracy threat.

Because of this the following ship types will be discussed:

• Ships of the Line
  • The standard warship and the queen's current favorite for its low cost and shorter time commitment
• Galleons
  • Larger and slower ships that have the ability to bring massive ballista arrays to bear, the queen isn't too keen on building more of these.
• Carrack Troop Carriers
  • As the name implies, this ship is useful for carrying troops and supplies from the Middle Kingdom proper to any battle ground on Agmar.
