Throughout the episode, I also discuss some more about what I did to get started on the Tales of Agmar.

In today's episode we will cover the origin of Master Horndal. A high-ranking member within Gearblade society. Horndal is a key figure during Gander's initial discovery and globe-trotting of the world known as Agmar.

A renowned hunter of demons and cultists alike, Master Horndal hasn't trained a Gear blade since the death of the previous king. Making his sudden liking of Gander and his friend Mace an oddity within the current workings of the order.

Before the events of the book however, Horndal had a much more hero-like demeanor with actions to follow suit. Learn more about these in this episode of the Tales of Agmar lore-based podcast.

Ep.31 - The Ace Who Wasn't: Castiel's Origin Story

He was born on the moon of Ellon, raised in privilege, trained by the best - only to lose it all to someone he was supposed to outshine. Today we're pulling back the curtain on Castile, one of the more complex and interesting characters in the Tales of Agmar universe.

Today we cover:

• Castile's upbringing on Ellon's Moon and what it means to be a Class 2 citizen in the Ellonist Republic
• A closer look at Ellon - the capital planet, its mega-cities, and some of the robotic workforce of the republic.
• How Castiel earned his spot in the A.C.E. program - and why it cost him less than it did Gander
• His father's role in shaping the A.C.E. program itself
• His own skills as a sniper (and what makes him genuinely good at it)
• How an alignment system would describe him
• And the root of his resentment towards Gander and the life he believes was stolen from him

We also discuss the exiting news that the first full manuscript for the book has been finished! I'm just currently working on making sure the story makes sense and is readable in standard American English at this time.

From there we will continue setting the stage for her escape and then what we will be covering next week which is how she actually gets into the program and then off her dreaded home planet.

We are now starting on Aster's origin story for the Tales of Agmar universe! Aster is one of three main character perspectives that we will follow in the upcoming Tales of Agmar: Gambit book.
