In this episode of the Missouri Woods & Water Podcast we welcome back our friend Corey Groff and talk about his story this season with the "Short G2 Buck".  Our conversation delves into the challenges of hunting in unseasonably warm weather, the strategies Corey employed to hunt this deer, and the lessons learned from a missed shot during the hunt.  We talk about the evolving narrative within the hunting community regarding the realities of hunting, and the steps taken to track and recover a wounded deer.  We also touch on the relief that comes with knowing a deer has survived after being wounded.  Corey reflects on the emotional rollercoaster of missing the first shot, the determination to track the deer down, and ultimately, the satisfaction of a successful second chance.
