Tales with Tails

Another up and down week here at Silver Paw Studio. The Cameron Peak Fire is being whipped south and east towards us by strong winds and low humidity. Evacuations are 9 miles from me. In a bright spot this week the Mini Course went well and I am working on client projects.

Stay safe everyone!

Recorded October 2, 2020. Wildfires, US election in 32 days, new programs, accountability, anxiety, ill parents and more filled my week.

Is there really a line between your business and your personal life? I don't think so. There's no way to cut your humanity, values and concentration in half. Stressors in the world and my personal life coincide with several projects this week. Outside time is needed!

Many ups and downs this week. We start with my realization of Tolerances and what I did about them over the weekend. I share an upswing followed the next day by a downswing. Besides crying I tell you what I did about the depressing report. We also chat a little about my failure video just posted to YouTube. Which led to the mini rant about "The One Secret" everyone is trying to delude us into believing (spoiler alert: there are none).

This is my first real peek behind the paw episode. It was recorded in one take off the cuff raw and real. What do you think of this journal style format?

"The most personal tales are often the most universal." My friend and creative coach Franklin Taggart said that to me years ago. The Pack Bulletin weekly email newsletter immediately changed to story format. Each week people read a hearfelt story of what I am going through, inspiration, and of course studio specials and information. This approach has resonated so well with that audience I am trying it here on the Tales with Tails podcast.

This summer I stopped co-hosting the radio show Critter Patter so I could find a new direction with this podcast. (KRFC and Sue my co-host are awesome it was just time for me to move on.)

Dawn Wilson joined me on the show from Estes Park, Colorado this summer. With the pandemic the national parks have changed up how they control crowds. We talk about our take on the impact of the changes this year and how we think the animals are affected.

If you want to take stunning images in RMNP you can hire Dawn as your guide! Timed entry tickets are incredibly difficult to come by but with Dawn you just need your normal Park Pass. Find out more and view some jaw dropping images on her website:
