Our month of Halloween Gnostic terrors has a new entry as we discuss the devilish and witchy art of the Art Nouveau and Symbolist movements with Thomas Negovan from the Century Guild art gallery and publishers. We mostly discuss his book “Infernal Creatures” featuring macabre art created by artists involved with Gnosticism, mysticism, and the occult, but of course we go off to talk about everything from devil worship in Belle Époque France and the surprising connection his book has to an important Gnostic trailblazer.

Artist Kristin Middleton returns to the show to talk about her new art book “Sparks from a Dark Woods”. Her dreamy and surreal watercolor art is inspired by well, her dreams, but also occultism, nature, and magick. She tells us all about it and that’s not all. We also talk about Blake, the dawning of this new aeon, the connections between art and mysticism and more.
This is part of our bonus series, the Black Iron Prison that’s centered around art, philosophy, and some of the surprising and shocking places that Gnostic themes can be found.

We’re doing a month of Gnostic horrors for October and kicking it off with a panel on the 1935 masterpiece “Bride of Frankenstein.” Is this movie a secret Gnostic treatise on the terror of incarnation and the reign of false deities? Is Frankenstein’s monster the true zombie Jesus? Is there a “hidden” gay subtext to the film? This is just some of what we talk about so don’t be scared: tune in now!
Our panel consists of all returning all star gods and monsters:

Theurgy means “divine-working” and it’s rituals and workings to raise one’s self up into a state of divinity, a kind of sacred magick. And Dr. Nathan Bjorge thinks it has the potential to liberate us in both the personal and societal senses. Through specific examples of modern paganism, Thelma, and ancient Neoplatonism Dr. Bjorge comes on Talk Gnosis, with guest host Nic Lachetti, to show us how theurgy and the esoteric can free us from oppressive ideas and structures.
