Having recorded ahead a few shows, I can tell you that Murder Party plays a big part of our early arc, as we're big fans of not only Jeremy Saulnier who wrote and directed this before going on to direct the brilliant Green Room (2015), but also Macon Blair, who appears here, and goes on to write and direct the gem I Don't Feel At Home In This World Anymore (2017). Tangentially horror, all, but great movies none the less.
We reference a slew of different media here outside the movies. If you care to check any of those out, I'm including some links at the bottom. For me, personally, I'd like to reiterate that if you enjoy the idea of a long form podcast about horror cinema, you can't do better than Jay of the Dead and the crew over at The Horror Movie Podcast. I personally enjoy several horror podcast on the regular, and I hope to pay my respects to all of them as our series grows, but those folks are the ones that got me fired up about the medium.
A couple of times in the episode we reference an episode featuring The Frighteners (1996). Matt did his best to hold the show together, but I was simply too scatterbrained to communicate effectively for the duration of the show. Rather than release garbage, we decided to scrap it. Then...the brilliant idea hit me to edit it down to only the best parts, and place it at the end of this episode. Enjoy that 11 minutes of nonsense if you're here for the shenanigans.
If you want to participate in the #Highonhorrorartclub, sketch up something to do with one of these titles, or prepare for next week where we have Pet Sematary (1989) on our list, along with...something else? Yeah, probably something else... and share that art with the world on Instagram with as many hashtags as you can think of. #SPARENOHASHTAGS #TalkHorrorShow #PetSematary
Have fun, be safe, and don't fall in the hole!

Half In The Bag: Jack and Jill
Podcast link to the episode of Horror Movie Podcast where Jay submits Terminator as a slasher flick. A personal favorite of Shonny's. This is part 3 of a 4 part series, the entirety of which I revisit from time to time. It's excellent.
