August 09, 202025th Anniversary Memorial: Jerry Garcia 1995 - 2020Jerome John Garcia died on August 9, 1995 and left behind a legacy of great music and anecdotal, yet at the same time, seemingly uncannily-accurate recollection and intellectual perspective. His Grateful Dead bandmates pay homage to him this day and offer their own apt tributes. My experience with this man and his band started in 2018 and I haven't looked back. Captain Trips lives on in me and I have been a willing victim to many an earworm by the man who plays guitar and sings a lovely tune that sticks with you. His collaborations with the likes of Bob Dylan, Bruce Hornsby and Wynton Marsalis is a veritable name-dropping paradise. Join me as I wax philosophical and recollect this consummate musician and professional. His tragic death 25 years ago is a stark contrast to the celebration of him and his art....more38minPlay

August 07, 2020Aiming For Accuracy: Get Your Population RightThe the aim of this podcast is to entertain and inform and a big part of that is accuracy. August 05, 2020TS Isaiah Lashes Out: Tree Downed in DarlingtonDateline Pawtucket, Rhode Island: Tropical storm Isaiah wreaked havoc in my front yard on Hunts Avenue. Everyone is okay except for my Norway Maple. A good portion of it ended up on my walkway with a large section of it blocking my portico doorway. By the time the winds died down, it was nightfall. I decided not to make a claim to my insurance company. My neighbor Gary has offered to put a chainsaw to the fallen limbs. I will have the entrance cleared by sometime this afternoon. The irony is that this tropical storm has done more damage than most hurricanes in recent memory. While many residents are still without power, it looks like Rhode Island is no worse for wear....more31minPlay

Guy delves into his avoidance tool box and justifies his situation in this informative podcast. Yes, cannabis is legal in many states and the stigma has been more or less lifted but there are issues with individual continued use.
