State Rep. Jeff Roy (Democrat - 10th Norfolk) joined us this morning to talk about Safe Injection Sites. He is the Massachusetts House representative on the Harm Reduction Commission that was tasked with trying to combat the opioid scourge and find ways to minimize the consequences of addiction.

He has advocated for Safe Injection Sites as a way to reduce the number of overdose deaths.

One of the major players in the debate surrounding comprehensive sex ed in WPS was the Massachusetts Family Institute. MFI was instrumental in the pushback against the implementation of comprehensive sex ed in WPS.

We had the President of MFI Andrew Beckwith on the show to talk about the issue.

Lisa Peterson is a Salem City Councilor and a Financial Planner who is looking to take down incumbent Congressman Seth Moulton in the 2020 Democratic primary for Massachusetts' 6th Congressional District.

Senator Cindy Friedman (Democrat - 4th Middlesex) is the Senate representative on the 'Harm Reduction Commission' that was established in 2018 and looks at ways to battle the opioid crisis and reduce the harm it does to individuals and communities.

She, along with other members of the commission, recently came out in favor of creating a safe injection site pilot program to give those struggling with addiction a safe and clean space to consume drugs with medical staff on hand.
