For episode 114 of The Walking Dead Talk Through, Brian, Kyle, and Mark talk through The Walking Dead Season 10 Episode 15 titled The Tower. This episode was written by Kevin Deiboldt & Julia Ruchman and directed by Laura Belsey.
For this episode, we did something new! We recorded this episode, like we always do, using Zoom, but we invited our listeners to join us! Joining us were DeEtta from Detroit, LT from NC, and Glynis from Toronto! You'll have to let us know how it turned out!
This was supposed to be the penultimate episode of Season 10 but because of the Coronavirus and some post production issues they postponed the finale to an unknown date this year. But we had some special guest join us so I hope you enjoy their feedback as well as ours. In this episode we see Beta walk through the front gates of Alexandria with his horde of fans while Alden plays child games. Our people are hiding out but looks like they have a plan to fight. Too bad we won't see what that is for who knows how long. King Ezekiel, Eugene and Yumiko join Princess on an adventure through the city that ends up, well, not quite what they were expecting. So Join us as we discuss this episode, The Tower.
We don't know when the next episode will be, but you can send in feedback for this episode, S10E15, titled The Tower, or the season in general. For episode 113 of The Walking Dead Talk Through, Brian (is back!) Kyle, and Mark talk through The Walking Dead Season 10 Episode 14 titled Look at the Flowers. This episode was written by Channing Powell and directed by Daisy Von Scherler Meyer.
Alpha sure was busy in this episode. Negan and Daryl bonded over some dead whisperers while Carol was just off for some alone time only to have Alpha pestering her over the nagging consequences of her actions. Beta, well, he goes on a trip to open his eyes and ends having two faces... no really... half Beta walker mask and half Alpha's skin. He's even more creepy... and dangerous now that he has a horde of his own. And Eugene, Yumiko, and King Ezekiel set off to meet up with a possible new group that ends with a flamboyant stranger. Strange indeed.

For episode 112 of The Walking Dead Talk Through, Kyle, Mark, and, for the last part of it, Brian talk through The Walking Dead Season 10 Episode 13 titled What We Become. This episode was written by Vivian Tse and directed by Sharat Raju.
We had a lot of callbacks, some weak sauce in Virgil's a.k.a. Morgan character, and some far-reaching plot devices to push our katana-wielding heroine into the great unknown. Not to say it was a bad episode. We did enjoy it for the most part. Overall just a disappointing sendoff for Michonne. It's always a joy to see flashbacks.. or in this episode.. drug-induced hallucinations, of some of our favorite characters and epic scenes of seasons past. So with that, heat the kettle. Make a big o' cup of Jimsonweed and let's step headfirst into the rabbit hole.

For episode 111 of The Walking Dead Talk Through, Kyle, Mark, and some voicemail from Brian talk through The Walking Dead Season 10 Episode 12 titled Walk With Us. This episode was written by Eli Jorné & Nicole Mirante-Matthews and directed by Greg Nicotero.
This episode was action-packed from the start. We have never seen The Hilltop is such die straights before but unfortunately for our group, they couldn't hold and had to retreat. Negan, in the end, surprised us all and after such a long wait the payoff is well... how can I say... came to a head. So enjoy as we discuss this episode in all its flaming glory.

In a shocking turn of events, ratings for S10E12 Walk With Us are way up from last week's historic lows. It got a 1.23 in the 18-49 demographic, with 3.494 million viewers. This is up from last week's episode, which got a 0.92 in the 18-49 and 2.927 million viewers. That's an increase of 0.31 in the 18-49 and 567,000 viewers, up 34 and 19% respectively. But what an episode NOT to have a corresponding episode of Talking Dead with it! Due to the Coronavirus scare, Talking Dead did not have an episode this week. AMC aired an episode of Norman Reedus' Ride instead. This is the first time an episode of The Walking Dead hasn't had a corresponding Talking Dead since Season 1 if you don't count the "Survival Sunday" Season 8 finale episode, which aired directly after the Season 4 premiere of Fear the Walking Dead and featured cast from both shows.

For episode 110 of The Walking Dead Talk Through, Kyle, Mark, and Brian talk through The Walking Dead Season 10 Episode 11 titled Morning Star. Well, Brian was here for most of it, anyway. This episode was written by Julia Ruchman & Vivian Tse and directed by Michael E. Satrazemis.
This episode was kind of a slow burn but it sure did end with our group in a sappy pickle. Alpha and Negan get a little closer to which we almost don't know who's side he's on. Gamma goes to hillside with the crew and tries to reunite with Adam or Alex or whatever they are calling her nephew. We get great interaction with many of the characters. Daryl and Carol, Ezekiel and Daryl, Eugene and Rosita and the mysterious Stephanie from Can-ah-wa or Can-aw depending on where you're from. But overall we get to the flaming walker meat that we have been waiting for between the Hillside Posse and Alpha's horde.

For episode 109 of The Walking Dead Talk Through, Kyle and Mark talk through The Walking Dead Season 10 Episode 10, titled Stalker, with Brian joining along for some of it. This episode was written by Jim Barnes and directed by Bronwen Hughes.
This was an action pack episode with some scary moments for some of our favorite characters. Almost too scary. Beta infiltrates Alexandria through an impossible to believe tunnel system. He rises from the grave and walkerized some of our people to get Gamma out of jail. Alpha and Daryl go stabby stabby with each other. And Gabriel, the truth detector, gets intel from Gamma and kind of gets duped that leave Alexandria unprotected. This really doesn't look good for the future of our group, going forward. We shall see.
