Theater maker extraordinaire, Cynthia Hopkins, Talks To Paulie this Sunday at 4:00pm EST about her newest work, "This Clement World", a mindbending contemplation of our planet.

Paulie interviews the Artistic Director of Classic Stage Company, Brian Kulick. The brilliant and scintillating Kulick, prompted by Paulie, covers the entire history of Western Theatre — Aeschylus to Chekhov — in 28 MINUTES! This episode is as good as a PHD in Theatre History but faster and much more fun.

Paul talks to philosopher Craig Irvine and to literature and film scholar Maura Spiegel about their transformative work with medical doctors. Tune in and hear how philosophy, film and literature are being used at the College of Doctors and Surgeons at Columbia University to expand what it means to be a Doctor. Paul talks to legendary South African playwright and vivid storyteller, Athol Fugard. Athol Fugard has been working in the theatre as a playwright, director, and actor in South Africa, England, and the United States for over fifty years. In June he received a Lifetime Achievement Tony Award in New York. His novel "Tsotsi" was made into an Academy Award winning film. Paul and Mr. Fugard talk about the three plays that he is doing here in New York at the Signature Theatre this season, as well as much much more.

Words and Music! Paul talks to Pulitzer Priize and Grammy Award winning composer, David Lang. David describes the epiphany he had at nine years old that lead to his life as a composer. He and Paul have a fun, freewheeling conversation amidst excerpts of David's music, with a little Steve Reich thrown in as well.

Paul talks to Nick Flynn, a Brooklyn-based writer, poet and playwright. Flynn reads some choice pieces and reflects on the complexities of his work, including recently having his memoir "Another Bullshit Night in Suck City," turned into the film, "Being Flynn."
