For our Halloween Special this year, we revisited the very first film we ever covered on this podcast, way back in Episode 1 : Interview with the Vampire.

But before we get into our love for foppish, sensual vampires with amazing hair, we rant and rave about the state of UK politics, Rooney really gets behind #EatTheRich, and we consider running for government.

We also wonder if vampires are just misunderstood, reveal how quickly they would suck humanity dry, and ask if more media is a good or bad thing.

And Rooney doesn't simp for Antonio Banderas once!

A Halloween book club episode this week, and we lost ourselves in the brilliant Anno Dracula, by Kim Newman.

But before we started gushingly declaring our love for Genevieve Dieudonné and this book, we discussed Reggie as a proponent of avant garde punk music (and him being a germbag), Andrew Tasselmyer, people who live as real life vampires, cosplay and crossplay, and Rooney got angry over the latest updates from the upcoming Vampire Chronicles TV series!

For the second installment of vampire month, we had to go back into the 80's, for the childhood classic The Lost Boys, to see just how well it had aged...

Along the way we discussed US President Biden being pro-weed, the pitfalls of getting old, 17th century vampire lore, King Charles III being a secret vampire, Rooney being head of a new Republic of Britain, #Treason, vampires in mythology, and burning ourselves because we were stupid!

We also squeeze in a Shout out to Spirit Fingers Massage; congrats on getting your new premises!

TUTJIG sucks!

That's right, it's Spooky Month, and we're all about the blood-suckers, as we delve into vampires, starting this week with the Rodriguez/Tarantino horror, From Dusk Till Dawn!

We also indulge in some Tory bashing, do some catching up on what we've been up to, Rooney talks excitedly and bewilderingly about World of Warcraft, and we talk about TV shows.

We also send an open invite to guests and potential interviewees (we're talking to you!), and about the upcoming Halloween book club!

We return once again to the Marvel Cinematic Universe to be introduced to the man with the shield in Captain America: The First Avenger.

We also talk #Mournhub, Rooney moaning like an old man, throwing everyone from our past under the bus, a whole lot of waffling, conspiracy theories, a GMM shoutout, and so very much questionable content (and we don't mean the webcomic)!

For episode 122 we had a little nostalgia fest and chatted the 80's adventure classic Raiders of the Lost Ark!

But before we put on our sepia-toned glasses, we took some time to catch-up with Uri Geller (this time hanging with John Lennon!), Rooney found a sound-effects box, we checked-in with Nippy Nigel (Yurii Tolotchko), .announce a new Instagram campaign that we may well live to regret, and discover "Jizz Jewellery"!

Brace yourselves people, because things are about to get earnest! We revisit our Book Club series and talk about the book that inspired both The Mandalorian and Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi (probably): Star Wars: Kenobi.

It's the perfect storm of Star Wars and a book, which means this episode is almost safe for work and sensible (for a given value of sensible).

Aside form all that earnestness, we also talk about Invasion Colchester, The Essex Ghostbusters, work social events, other books, and #Kenobiisms.

This week Rooney forced Reggie to be all Otaku and watch another anime film - this time, the slice-of-life gamer fest, Summer Wars.

But before that, we had to endure another Would You Rather, this time with the TUTJIG Minister for Filth and Fromage Rachel! Be warned folks, it's a real eye-opener...

There was also talk of cryptids, Reggie struggling with names, cultural differences, and Rooney srtuggling with names!

Continuing our march through the Marvel Cinematic Universe, this week we watched the introduction of the Norse gods to the MCU; Thor!
