Continuing the roll of covering some of Rooney's favourite things, this week the boys re-watched the Cameron Crowe coming of age saga Almost Famous, and got a little carried away watching it and kind of neglected to take many notes!

But fear not! This is TUTJIG, so they still managed just over 3 hours, which included (for some reason) a brief introduction to the Heaven's Gate cult (we've given up trying to fathom how Reggie's mind comes up with these intros), reminiscences of the boys in their gigging days, a two-sided conversation about clothes and fashion, and a realisation that even though they can't remember why they went upstairs, the boys can remember songs from local radio stations in the 90's/00's in their entirety!

Reggie decided they should check out the Studio Ghibli classic Howl's Moving Castle (despite him having never seen it), and then later regretted that decision.

The boys debated who was creepier (Turnip Head or Howl?), whether things looked like penises on purpose, and why Sophie cleans out the fireplace after cleaning the rest of the room!

They also came up with a risky marketing campaign, discussed bizarre standards or cleanliness, mocked gammons (a lot), and re-mapped the whole idea of masculinity. It was a busy week.

This week see's the boys put in another long one (nearly 3.5 hours!), despite Rooney being in danger of losing his voice! They covered the excellent V for Vendetta, and as if that wasn't enough, Reggie was tried to keep it all #SFW. It went about as well as expected...

In addition, they talked about a lot of new episode ideas, Hollywood portrayals of British people, Rooney mocked Gammons and got angry about Brexit, and they wrapped it all up by just calling for a full on revolution - guillotines and all! 

For Book Club this month the boys decided to try something a little different, and read a comic book (sorry, graphic novel!). Reggie picked the seminal Batman comic The Long Halloween. It turns out they really struggle to write notes about a book that's mostly pictures...

But of course, this wouldn't be TUTJIG if they didn't go wildily off piste! So they spent some time discussing video games (Valheim, Lollipop Chainsaw, the ghastly 2004 Catwoman game), secret Satanic cults, and yet another half-baked scheme from Reggie to make them rich/famous. And all this despite Reggie's avowed attempts to clean up TUTJIG.

They also came up with a possible new tagline for the pod: "Smut , filth, and general unpleasantness"

I know we've said this before, but this may be their most offensive episode yet - which is very odd, given that they watched the very sensible Enemy of the State!

Almost as if in some kind of strange sub-conscious backlash against the serious tone of the film, the boys come up with a TUTJIG spin-off nobody wants (Audiobooks with TUTJIG), discuss sex with aliens, virgin conception, Bitcoin and how to mine it, grey hairs, and Mother's Day!

Probably not suitable for anyone to listen to, but hey, even hate mail is still mail, right?

This week Rooney drags Reggie into a journey through his childhood as they discuss the cult classic The Monster Squad. He then realises that there are some issues with this film, and wonders if they are the cause of his current fractured persona...

The boys also discuss the asthetic qualities of the humble penis, Reggie gets angry about dick pics (which Rooney find hilarious), and they add a new Space Monkey to the roster!

Buying into the monster movie craze, the boys get stuck into Kong: Skull Island. Somehow this lead to a resurgence of the podcast's proposed porno "F*ck Until The Joy Is Gone", and Reggie charges Rooney with writing it a script for it. 

They also have some interesting sponsorship ideas, make a lot of references to Jurassic Park, and issue the #FlightSuitChallenge to social media influences everywhere!

February's Book Club episode see's the boys looking to the East for their book this time - one of Rooney's perennial favourites - All You Need Is Kill, by Hiroshi Sakurazaka. 

However, before they can get onto their discussion of writing styles, coffee, and who did or didn't fornicate with a Grey, they first get waylaid by social media, "bringing back the fun", yet more talk about sex, and a brief musical interlude!

After last week's episode, and giving Sylvester Stallone's Judge Dredd film quite a bit of stick, the boys decided it was only fair that they pick a film of his they actually liked - and somehow (thanks Netflix UK) they settled on Demolition Man!

Between discussing Wesley Snipes being awesome, Sandra Bullock's buttocks, and bad Stallone impressions, Reg got excited about American Hand Egg Ball and goats, Rooney did a whole bunch of shout-outs and name dropping, and they spent way, way too long talking about phallic sex toys modelled after mythical creatures....

The boys were very excited to delve into one of their favourite films this week - the absolute drokking masterpiece that is Dredd!

And that excitement got the better of them a little, as they discussed their Pornhub habits (!!!), awesome indie horror game Phasmophobia, the engrossing paranormal series Hellier, got confused about the perception of time, and offered yet more sponsorship opportunities!

A busy week all in all!
