To mark the twentieth episode of the podcast, the boys... do absolutely nothing special! Instead they spend nearly three hours reminiscing about being drunk, being high, nights out, and assorted shenanigans. Oh, and they also talk about the brilliant Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, where they realise they're actually just a couple of Johnny Depp fanboys.

Suprisingly light on profanity and twisted jokes, they make up for it with almost constantly talking about drugs and/or booze!

The return of the Book Club! In this months episode of Read Until The Joy Is Gone we fall in love with J.R.R Tolkien's children's masterpiece The Hobbit. 

In between earnest discussions about why we love it, and our favourite things about the book, we also get an update on Steve's "beef" with a friend of the pod, realise that Tolkien inadvertently invented almost everything, discuss moral ambiguities, and somehow manage to wrap-up with the Bristol Stool Chart.

No wonder it takes us more than 3 hours to talk away the joy this week!

There are new entrants to the 13th Circle of Hell, discussions about the MCU, wrestling, Anne Robinson, and Rooney's shapely legs.

They also find time to discuss the amazing Black Panther movie for the best part of 2 hours, which is funny, because both of them got too carried away watching the film and neglected to make any notes...

Giant monsters! Giant mecha! Giant temper tantrums!

This week the boys get stuck into Guillermo del Toro's grown-up Saturday morning cartoon, Pacific Rim. But not before Steve has some stern words for Rooney concerning the aggravation he's caused him with his behaviour...

For the hard-hitting anthology series Black Mirror, the boys each chose an episode - The National Anthem for Remedial First Mate Steve, and Arkangel for Steadfast Captain Rooney - and talked the Hell out of them.

They also made dinosaur noises, mentioned pig fucking way too often, do a little be of interview-prep role play, discusss mystery sunglasses, and Steve reveals a bold new strategy to get support for his "Ban the word Slut" campaign...

Brace yourselves folks, this is a long one... *snigger*

For something a little different, the boys tackle the seminal anime film Akira, and spend far more time than they anticipated getting deep into the film (via a myriad of tangents and sidetracks).

Steve reveals that he has had his eyes opened whilst doing research for his ongoing war against straight white males, accusations fly over who dropped what ball, and Rooney rails against adverts. Because why not?

In the second Book Club episode, the boys tackle the Terry Pratchett Discworld novel, Guards! Guards!

Of course, being the way they are, they spend the first 30 minutes being suitably NSFW...

Then they manage to cover Steve's rather unique brand of feminism, mediocrity, and people selling knock-off goods being a universal constant, all whilst being suitably enthused at the brilliance of this excellent book!

The boys struggle valiantly to discuss the stylistically-stunning Sin City through a veritable storm of technical issues this week. 

The winners of the 100 Listeners T-shirt Giveaway are announced, we get an insight into the boy's morning routines, and discuss age discrepancies, Clive Owen, and unnecessary Nazi symbolism!

Digging deep into this classic sci-fi horror, the boys discover that the reason no-one can hear you scream in space is because of the sound design.

There's another half-baked scheme to get some money - from Netflix this time - a revelation from Rooney about podcasts, and some more truly deserving souls get cast into the eternal fires of the 13th Circle.

This week the boys get stuck into Wonder Woman (metaphorically speaking), and spend approximately 50%of their time gushing about how much they enjoyed this film.

When they're not gushing, Steve launches a campaign against straight white males for some reason, Rooney lays into Steve (the two things aren't related, honest!), and they introduce the potentially deadly "Drink Until The Pain Is Gone" drinking game.
