Can you believe 2020 is coming to an end?! What a year!

 

I know for some of you, it was actually a good year. I've surprisingly heard a lot of people sharing lately about although it was challenging, stretching, and growing, that it was a good year looking back. It was a strengthening year, a year of figuring out, "what do I really want?" "where do I really want to go from here?"

 

I also understand this year was not easy for everyone. If you had tough moments and tough seasons in this year, I'm so sorry. I wish I could hug every single person who dealt with loss, and pain, and grief, and sadness, and anger, and all the things we've faced this year.

 

It's been one heck of a year, that's for sure. I truly know that, I have been able to look back and see the things that have stretched me and challenged me for the better. I know that it's deepened me as a person and in relationships and the way I want to do things.

 

In this episode, I'm talking all about what we've learned from 2020 and how we're going to take it into 2021.

In this week's episode I sat down with Kara Goldin as we tackled this and what it means to her to be undaunted. Kara shares her story of overcoming doubts and doubters and how it led her to where she is today. Kara Goldin is the Founder and CEO of Hint, Inc., best known for its award-winning Hint water, the leading unsweetened flavored water. 

She has received numerous accolades, including being named EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2017 Northern California and one of InStyle’s 2019 Badass 50. Previously, Kara was VP of Shopping Partnerships at America Online. She also hosts the podcast The Kara Goldin Show.

I have a message on my heart for you today!

This message has been a couple years in the making. It's something I've walked through in my life, experienced the highs and lows of, and have found freedom in.

 

For me, social media has been a distraction in some seasons from walking out my true purpose. I know social media has been a way to stay connected during all the craziness, but I have realized the scrolling becomes consuming.

We are faced with distractions every day, all around us. In this episode, I'm mainly addressing social media. But, it can also look like things such as TV shows and news.

 

I truly believe that if I wasn't in a place of being present, we wouldn't have started our nonprofit. I would've missed out on opportunities in my life now if I was distracted. Don't let things distract you from your purpose. We need what you carry.
