University of Utah Law Professor Amos Guiora joined me this afternoon and we discussed a variety of issues, including populism, free speech, institutional sex abuse scandals, extremism, racism, Andrew Luck and Colin Kaepernick, as well as a few of his own current projects. Amos has got a new book coming out next week entitled "Populist and Islamist Challenges for International Law" and another one coming out next year entitled "Armies of Enablers: Complicity, Cowardice and Corruption".

Ta'u talks about the history of opera as I repeatedly offer insights about heavy metal. He also explains why he had to decline an offer to perform for the King of Tonga's birthday party. About four years ago Chase led them on a mission to penetrate the underground and make contact with the people he saw sleeping on the street. Project Empathy was started with a simple conversation and seeks to bring dignity back to the disenfranchised, . . . one relationship at a time.

Andy Brown is an interesting guy who has faith in bitcoin's inherent, current and potential value. Andy explains his knowledge of the digital currency and his personal investments. He also shares his thoughts on how bitcoin is capable of revolutionizing the financial industry, in part by providing wealth access/management opportunities for all people throughout the world. In addition to bitcoin, we discussed Elon Musk, Tesla, Nueralink, Pioneer Day and bit of Utah history.

Turned out to be a great show, but I'm pretty sure I still don't understand a thing about bitcoin. But if Homer and Lisa predicted it, well . . . that's good enough for me.

After being brutally attacked in 2008, fellow Skidmore College grad and EmoryUniveristy Language Professor Christine Ristaino transformed her life. Within days of the attack she was repeatedly asked questions regarding her assailant's race, which drew her ire (and curiosity) and inspired her to originally write a book about racism. But the project took a turn when she unwittingly came to terms with violence from her past, which lead to full disclosure, growth and enlightenment. Her book All the Silent Spaces is an amazing memoir which eradicates the stigma often felt by victims of sexual violence. Thank you Christine for sharing your amazing story. Your courage is palpable.

Malcolm Lemmons joined me from Washington D.C. and shared his remarkable "hoop dreams" story. While playing professional basketball overseas, Malcolm found the time to transform himself into a writer/author which provided a creative outlet for him. He's published "Lessons from the Game", hosts The Players Podcast and is the founder of Players Point, a brand consulting firm for athletes. We talked about his remarkable life, the NBA summer league, the Utah Jazz, stardom v. the journeyman, patience and philanthropy. Great "lessons" coming from a 27 year-old!! Keep it up Malcolm.
