Talkin' Ders

Episode 3: Tonight, we’re recapping a week that was basically a 3,000-mile survival course. From the humidity of St. Louis to the turf in Vancouver, and finally back down to the South Bay, the Sounders have been living out of suitcases and stacking results. We’re talking three games in nine days, three completely different tactical looks, and—dare I say it—a defense that’s starting to look like a brick wall plugged into Google Maps.

Unfortunately, last night it looked like the wall was built at the end of a four-lane freeway. But uh… Paul’s well that ends well…???

How did we steal three points in Missouri with only 30% possession? How did Paul Arriola turn back the clock in Canada? And after yesterday in San Jose, is Andrew Thomas officially making the Spokane GK choice a headache for Schmetzer? And do you think Nouhou listens to the show?

Thanks for listening! And Go ‘Ders

S01E02 - March 2, 2026

As Shane and Steve grow together, we invite you to do the same! We talk about the matchup between RSL and Sounders at **redacted** Field in Sandy, UT, where Sounders fell 2-1, but not before some exciting play mixed with some tactical errors, and a team getting to know each other in an evolving system missing several key pieces from last year.

We briefly preview the second match in a 5 game (regular season) away stint, and a congested schedule looking toward CCC glory.

We also talk about the Sounders Rocket League Discord server and the Supporters’ Group League, where ECS has 4 teams. YOU can join any time at: https://discord.gg/V7Gcjz2byY to meet new people and have a great time, no matter your skill level.

Thanks for listening! Next show in mid-March.

Special thanks to Derek for joining us to talk about RL/SGL!

Introducing Steve & Shane (or Shane & Steve) talking about your beloved Seattle Sounders in the pilot episode of Talkin’ Ders.

We discuss our approach, and cut it up on the 2026 season opener between Seattle and Colorado on Sunday. Building up, crashing down, and recovering from some challenges is what makes Sounders our team. We’re finding our voices, and look forward to you finding them too.
