  • Episode 211 - Saltburn, Eileen, May December Triple Threat (w/Ms. Filmingo)

What's going on everybody! We're in the endgame now, with only 4 weeks left in the year of 2023. We're kicking it off with a triple threat of movies that could make some moves at the upcoming awards race: Emerald Fennell's Saltburn, starring Barry Keoghan & Jacob Elordi; William Oldroyd's Eileen, starring Thomasin Mckenzie & Anne Hathaway; and Todd Haynes' May December starring Natalie Portman & Julianne Moore. Each of these three films has more in common than you would think, as Dom & Kristen break down their individual thoughts about all three and where they stand in the awards race. It's all happening right here on the #talkintvpodcast

Several TV shows both new and returning, as well as two theatrical drops, no small feet. They cover the brand new Hunger Games prequel, subtitled Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, as well as Taika Waititi's brand new film "Next Goal Wins" before moving on to the return of For all Mankind's fourth season, Nathan Fielder & Emma Stone's "The Curse" on Showtime & Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, the Apple TV+ spinoff of the Monsterverse films. • Episode 208 - The Marvels & the Killer (w/The Duster)

We're back with another fun, MARVELOUS (see what I did there) episode of the Talkin' TV podcast. We're covering both ends of the spectrum today, the thing killing movies and the thing that's trying to help keep them alive. Which is which, who can say? But we've got the Marvels, which I think I can safely say is the first really not-so-anticipated sequel we've covered on this podcast. A sequel to not only the first Captain Marvel, but also to Avengers: Endgame and 3 Disney+ shows, quite a round up we have there. Then, Dustin & I talk about the Killer, the new film from David Fincher that went straight to Netflix. Fincher's a funny guy because he's one of the best filmmakers we have, but he's also the guy who kind of started this new wave of film hell we've been in this last decade when he made House of Cards for Netflix. It's been a weird last couple of years. Keep tuning in as we wind down our biggest season yet only on the #talkintvpodcast

  • Episode 207 - Invincible Season 2 Premiere (w/Eli Holicky & Unyolo)

We're in the final home stretch! With only eight episodes to go to conclude this year as well as our fifth season of podcasting, we're kicking it off with another superhero centered one, but it's an important one I think. We check in with the first of a couple returning TV shows, this time it being "Invincible" from Robert Kirkman, starring Steven Yeun as Mark Grayson, the son of alien superhero Omni-Man, who gains the same powers as his father and becomes the titular superhero, only to discover that his father was actually there as an emissary to his alien empire the Viltrumites and was readying Earth for invasion. Season 2 picks up in the aftermath of Mark's earth-shattering fight with his dad, and Dom is joined by Eli Holicky & Unyolo Movie Blogs to discuss it. Then, they talk about the current state of the MCU in the wake of the book "MCU: the Reign of Marvel Studios" being released. It's another action packed episode of the #talkintvpodcast new episodes released every Monday.

  • Episode 206 - Five Nights at Freddy's SHOCK-tober Finale (w/the Duster)

Happy All Hallow's Eve Eve everyone! October is about wrapped, so naturally, we had to close out the spookiest month of the year with something spooky. Now does that make it good? Absolutely not, and we've got 2 for the price of one this week! Dustin joins Dom to not only break down the adaptation of "Five Nights at Freddy's" based on the majorly popular video game of the same name, but also to talk about "Pain Hustlers" starring Emily Blunt & Chris Evans in their latest attempt to show the horrors of the pharmaceutical industry. It's a different kind of spooky this week as we wrap up Shocktober, only on the #talkintvpodcast

  • Episode 205 - Killers of the Flower Moon (w/The Duster)

We've got a big one here. Tonight we break down the next film from the legend himself, the greatest living filmmaker, Martin Scorsese with his new film "Killers of the Flower Moon," the first Scorsese we've covered on the podcast since 2019's "The Irishman." Dustin "the Duster" Mason joins Dom as they break down why they think this is one of the greats of the year but not necessarily in Scorsese's hall of fame despite it being a masterclass in filmmaking, from the performances to the technicals. All of that and more covered every week here on the #talkintvpodcast

Kicking it off, we're talking about probably the biggest surprise of the year so far, that being the Exorcist: Believer from David Gordon Green, who directed all three of the most recent Halloween films. I. only to discover that the weapon is a young child simulant, or robot modeled to look like a human.
