I talk about how I was going to end my day mad at myself and feeling gross when I decided that wasn't ok and got myself motivated and went for a walk instead.  Making myself do something that was good for me really helped me shake out of my stupor.  I've been sliding into a funk and all it takes is a little self-discipline to change the energy.

I talk about how my kids are too old too be micromanaged and that's a good thing, but makes me feel uncomfortable.  I am used to being the helicopter parent or the rescuer and yesterday my kid told me to leave him alone, because he was fine and could handle the situation I was trying to resolve all by himself  I am proud of him and somewhat shocked at my behavior and insistence that I come and fix "it".  This news is good, but it will take me a little bit to let it sink in.  I'm proud of my son for standing up for himself and telling me to back off.  

I talk about how things are improving in my left, but somehow I cut off the episode.  I decided to publish it anyway, because 2:51 of positive news is better than all the negative stuff I've posted recently.

I talk about Franny's graduation ceremony and how nice it was and also reflect on how I was never certain we would make it to this point in his life.  Getting the autism diagnosis when he was 3 seemed to rule out a "normal" life, but how wrong I was ... and happily so.

I talk about how it's so nice to be in the new house at long last without worrying about the noise from my neighbors.  I also discuss some things with work and Franny's upcoming graduation.

I talk about how it feels being 100% out of the old apartment and how that is a mixed blessing.  I also discuss the plumbing situation in my house and a few other thing that aren't going according to plan.

I talk about how my backyard neighbor helped me with the plumbing in my house and how I shouldn't have hired him.

I talk about how I moved in and how there are boxes and mayhem everywhere.  I describe some of the gigantic task ahead of me to sort things out and get settled.  I also envision a day when things will get settled.  Lastly, I describe how I awoke in the middle of the night with the strong urge to throw up and how strange I thought that was.  Probably nerves....

I talk about my whirlwind trip home for my Aunt Mary's memorial and the Alger dinners and parties.  It was so great to see everyone!  I'm very happy I made the time and effort to be there.  There was some family drama, but, fortunately, it didn't involve me.

I talk about all the errands I ran yesterday and how there was the perfect couch in the perfect color for the perfect price waiting for me at IKEA when I went and returned the broken shelving unit.  WOohoo!
