We Kick off this season with Heckle narrating 'Dr Bernard Pembroke- The Curious' written by Jeckle.
Dr Bernard Pembroke -The Curious is a fictionalised account of a true story about the life of a psychotherapist who begins to experience the very beginnings of discovering dementia. Bernard has a long history of working with patients before there tables are turned and he becomes a patient himself after experiencing peculiar lapses with recognising places, spaces and things. Baffling, frightening, and without warning, life takes and unexpected turn.
Heckle and Jeckle use the main character in the novel to explore more about the complexities of neurological diseases on the person, their intimate relationships and the world in which they live.

Heckle and Jeckle are back on the airwaves! Still laughing, sometimes crying and giving it our best!
This time we are mixing it up with a mixed bag of news, stories, controversies and special guests.
We begin this season with a novel about discovering dementia written by Jeckle and narrated by Heckle.
We discuss each episode with our usual humour, candid thoughts and deep respect to better understand this disease.
Our hope is for us all to gain greater insights to challenge stigma that limits living with respect, meaning, purpose and liberties of the heart.

And what now for the future? Heckle describes some of her ongoing projects as an advocate and an author of her new book helping grandchildren to better understand a loved family member experiencing dementia.
