In this weeks Talking Design, Stephen Crafti talks to award winning architect Robert Simeoni about the evolving relationship between designers and builders being redefined by manufacturing technology, which now gives architects more shapes and installation methods to consider when designing.

Stephen Crafti talks to Melbourne-based architects Brett Nixon and George Fortey from Nixon Tulloch and Fortey about some of issues that dominate the domestic end of architecture. From renovations, to new housing, knockdowns, client expectations, client relationships and realistic costing, Brett and George offer some valuable observations.

Jarrod Haberfield is one of three directors at Molecule, a design practice based in Melbourne that works across the disciplines of architecture, interiors and art direction. Michael Howard is a landscape architect and lecturer in landscape architecture in the School of Architecture and Design at RMIT University. Michael started as a horticulturist, studying at Burnley and buying for nurseries with people like Paul Bangay and Jenny Walker who were accommodating for the upper-end of the domestic market. He then returned to study Landscape architecture and design at RMIT University as a mature aged student and went on to work with John Patrick of 'Gardening Australia' and worked for a company called 'Out of the Blue' that do contemporary swimming pools.

Stephen Crafti speaks to Michael Howard about the history of Landscape Gardening and the relationship between Architecture design and the landscape.

Melanie Katsalidis is the director of 'Pieces of Eight', a contemporary jewellery and small object gallery in Melbourne showing the work of over thirty local and international artists. Melanie was originally trained in Art at the University of Melbourne and went on to do a gold and silversmiths course at RMIT University.
