Lighting Artist Bruce Ramus started his career in Canada. Drawn to the spectacle of lighting, particularly used for rock concerts, Ramus started to create his own light shows. When he moved to London in the mid-80s, the doors truly opened, working with the likes of David Bowie and U2. He now resides in Melbourne, working with many architects and creatives, presenting buildings in a completely new way.

Architect Grant Amon has established a reputation in the hospitality industry with his many bars and cafes. his latest project Mesa Verde in Curtain House in Melbourne's CBD, illustrates Amon's ability to interpret a client's vision, in this case a spaghetti western. However, Amon is also adept at multi-residential work, as well as retail fit-outs.

Fashion designer Denise Sprynskyj, Senior Lecturer in Fashion at RMIT University, started the label S!X with her Peter Boyd in the early 1990s, soon after they both graduated. They started by using left over fabrics, due to financial necessity and have now built a following for their highly unique deconstructed fashion.

Artist Cat Macleod is co-director of Bellemo Cat, an architectural practice which combines art and architecture. Macleod, with her life and business partner Architect Michael Bellemo, are recognised for both their public sculptures, as well as their one off homes. Their pavilion in Mildura exemplifies their unique approach.

Abigail Crompton has a art and psychology background, but more than 10 years ago started Third Drawer Down. Crompton started her venture by focusing on tea towels as art. She now supplies some of the leading galleries and museums in the world- her products, which are a collaboration with artists, can be seen at the Tate Gallery as well as locally in the NGV gift store. Crompton collaborated with the late Louise Bourgeois -one of the hankies created for an exhibition was embroidered with the words - I have been to hell and back and let me tell you it was wonderful. She is currently working with acclaimed Chinese artist Ai Wei Wei.

Susan Cohn is one of Australia's most important contemporary jewellers. Starting in the late 1970s, she established Workshop 3000 in Melbourne. Her doughnut bracelet, as well as her mesh bowl, designed for Alessi have been key designs in her career. Cohn recently curated a milestone exhibition Unexpected Pleasures, showcasing the work of Australian and international jewellery designers for the NGV and for the Design Museum in London.

Katie Scott is Director of Gallery Funaki in Crossley Street Melbourne. The Gallery, established in the mid-1990s by award-winning jeweller Mari Funaki, represents leading jewellers from Australia, New Zealand and Europe. Scott sets an extremely high benchmark in the work represented with designs from Sally Marsland, Warwick Freeman, and Marion Hosking just a few of the designers represented. A very special free event featuring fashion videos and a live discussion between Walter Van Beirendonck and Chris Dercon, Director, Tate Modern, London. Hosted by Associate Professor Robyn Healy with an introduction by Professor Margaret Gardner, AO, Vice-Chancellor and President, RMIT University.

Designer Chris Connell is essentially self-taught. He started his career in the late 70s studying interior design, but changed to graphic design a year into the program. Preferring to draw and work with his hands, he now covers most design areas, from designing cafes and homes to furniture and objects. His furniture, which he collaborates with Raoul C Hogg, includes the iconic Pepe Chair (circa 1992), now in the permanent collection of MOMO (Museum of Modern Art) in New York.
