Excerpt of the Podcast:
John Kremer:
“Then you said something I thought that was really uh interesting. You said that inherent to pursuing things is an unfulfillment uh that there's an inherent sense of unfulfillment that's not resolved by getting what you want, but by stopping the pursuing.”
Louis Koster:
“Yeah, it's the complete illusion of the mind. It kind of enrolls you like a bad salesperson that you need to follow the shiny object so to speak and then there would be a sense of accomplishment or fulfillment.”
“Not realizing in the design of the mind that is that always converses inside of duality that it is the pursuit itself that gives the sense of dissatisfaction.”
“Have you notice that when you've got this drive to accomplish something - I'm not saying that accomplishing something is not good or that there's something wrong with that - that but I'm talking about this drive that something needs to happen, have you noticed that that when it happens that basically nothing happens, like you're not suddenly gained five pounds or are exploding in happiness.”
“That's that is not a human experience. “
John Kremer:
“So, it is in this deceptive nature of the mind that gives the idea that the pursuit would release you from a sense of dissatisfaction. Not recognizing that it is the pursuit itself, the idea of a pursuit that gives the sense of dissatisfaction.”
Louis Koster:
“Yes, you actually said there's no such thing as something lacking and that pursuing creates the illusion of unfulfillment. But unfulfillment is not real. It never existed. By allowing for what our experience is unfulfilled, I am touched by the fullness of being and the conflict resolves itself.”
John Kremer:
“And you've said over and over again in your diary, if you try to resolve things in the world of thinking of the mind, the problem will never go away. You actually end up creating more problems but by recognizing and then pursuing allowing for totality of what arises, the problems dissolve themselves on their own.
Louis Koster:
“Yes, what appeared, disappears and you realize that actually it never existed.”
“I mean that is a funny part of it.
