This year marks both the 125th anniversary of Bram Stoker's Dracula, as well as the 100th anniversary of its unauthorized film adaptation Nosferatu. Stoker's 1897 work of Gothic horror introduced one of the world's most recognized fictional characters Count Dracula, and altered vampire lore. Meanwhile, the 1922 German expressionist film by F.W. Murnau, changed aspects of Dracula, contributed further to lore — and kicked off a protracted copyright battle with Stoker's widow, Florence. Dacre Stoker is the great grand-nephew of Bram Stoker, and the international best-selling co-author of Dracula the Un-Dead, the official family-endorsed sequel to Dracula.
Stoker joins Talking Strange host Aaron Sagers (Travel Channel’s Paranormal Caught on Camera) to talk about Nosferatu's legacy amongst his family, while also discussing Bram's fascination with the occult, Irish folklore, and paranormal experiences.
