The pop culture icon himself, Bruce Campbell (Ash vs. Evil Dead, Doctor Strange in The Multiverse of Madness, Burn Notice), joins host Aaron Sagers to discuss his career, horror, the all-important definition of lollygagging, and he teases his role as Police Chief Dandridge in the upcoming pop-horror series Hysteria on the Peacock streaming service (premiering Oct. 18, 2024). He also shares a wild UFO story from Oregon.
More about Hysteria:
When a beloved varsity quarterback disappears during the “Satanic Panic” of the late 1980s, a struggling high school heavy metal band of outcasts realize they can capitalize on the town’s sudden interest in the occult by building a reputation as a Satanic metal band, until a bizarre series of murders, kidnappings, and reported “supernatural activity” triggers a leather-studded witch hunt that leads directly back to them.

Micah Sloat and Katie Featherston, the stars of the 2009 surprise blockbuster hit Paranormal Activity join host Aaron Sagers to discuss their new Audible Original podcast "Paranormal Activity: True Tales of Possession." Sloat uses his real-life exploration of the paranormal and spiritism, while Featherston serves as the curious voice of the audience as they examine real-life stories of demonic possession, tracing the phenomenon from its earliest known accounts to its modern-day headlines.
With help from noted experts in witchcraft, shamanism, exorcism, and parapsychology, Katie and Micah explore chilling cases throughout history and across cultures, challenging our understanding of the world—or worlds—around us.
More about the guests:
Micah Sloat is best known for his breakout role in the 2009 surprise smash Paranormal Activity. His performance earned him a Teen Choice Award nomination for Best Horror Film Actor, and he reprised his role in several Paranormal Activity sequels. Sloat’s interest in the paranormal extends far beyond the screen. He has a broad background in many spiritual traditions, with a focus on Peruvian shamanism, British Traditional Witchcraft, and Hawaiian shamanism. By combining these practices with his undergraduate studies in philosophy and his master’s degree in Transpersonal Psychology, he’s developed his own transformational practice for healing, change, and manifestation called Spirit Work.
Katie Featherston is best known for playing the lead role in Paramount's 2009 smash hit Paranormal Activity, which earned her the Best Actress award at the 2009 Screamfest Film Festival, and has been ranked among many critics' lists of the "Best Horror Movies" ever made. Featherston has also appeared in many of the subsequent sequels, and was brought on to appear in multiple episodes of ABC's The River produced by Steven Spielberg. She can also be seen in the short films Solace for the Unloved and Becoming, both of which she co-directed, as well as in season 2 of HBO’s Big Little Lies.

Recorded live at San Diego Comic-Con.
More About Alien: Romulus:
The sci-fi/horror-thriller takes the phenomenally successful Alien franchise back to its roots: While scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station, a group of young space colonizers come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe. The film stars Cailee Spaeny (Priscilla), David Jonsson (Agatha Christie’s Murder is Easy), Archie Renaux (Shadow and Bone), Isabela Merced (The Last of Us), Spike Fearn (Aftersun), Aileen Wu. Fede Alvarez (Evil Dead, Don’t Breathe) directs from a screenplay he wrote with frequent collaborator Rodo Sayagues (Don’t Breathe 2) based on characters created by Dan O’Bannon and Ronald Shusett. Alien: Romulus is produced by Ridley Scott (Napoleon), who directed the original Alien and produced and directed the series’ entries Prometheus and Alien: Covenant, Michael Pruss (Boston Strangler), and Walter Hill (Alien), with Fede Alvarez, Elizabeth Cantillon (Charlie’s Angels), Brent O’Connor (Bullet Train), and Tom Moran (Unstoppable) serving as executive producers.

Writer/Director Damian Mc Carthy joins the show to talk about his supremely spooky — and fun — supernatural retribution horror movie ‘Oddity’ about possessed possessions and a creepy AF ‘Wooden Man’ creature. The film has been getting a lot of buzz — winning awards at South By Southwest and The Overlook Film Festival — and opens July 19 in theaters, and is coming soon to Shudder.
Mc Carthy joins host Aaron Sagers to discuss his own horror movie upbringing, as well as the creepy setting of his home in West Cork, Ireland — and how his parents’ VHS video store shaped him.
More about Oddity:
When Dani (Carolyn Bracken) is brutally murdered at the remote country house that she and her husband Ted (Gwilym Lee) are renovating, everyone suspects a patient from the local mental health institution, where Ted is a doctor. However, soon after the tragic killing, the suspect is found dead. A year later, Dani’s blind twin sister Darcy (also Bracken), a self-proclaimed psychic and collector of cursed items, pays an unexpected visit to Ted and his new girlfriend, Yana (Caroline Menton). Convinced that there was more to her sister's murder than people know, Darcy has brought with her the most dangerous items from her cursed collection to help her exact revenge.
