Today's guest is Ricki Herbert CZNM, the Director of the Ricki Herbert Football Academy. Amongst many leadership roles in Football, I asked him to draw on his learnings as the former National Coach of NZ Football. Our discussion melded the critical issue of building a team culture (both staff and players) and leadership thinking across the team supporting the campaign to reach the 2010 World Cup. Ricki also mentioned the massive goals of being part of the leadership group guiding the New Zealand national team to qualify for the 2010 World Cup and changing view of Football across New Zealand.

I spoke with Nic Danko, CEO and Co-Founder of Symple 12 months ago. It was great to catch up with Nic and discuss leadership in the COVID context since the last time we spoke. The importance of reconnecting with customers and business partners without the use of video conferencing services may be more important than I had considered. Nic was clear that for him, making a face to face connection is critical in the payments solutions industry and a reminder that connecting with customers and business partners on a face to face basis is still a critical consideration for leaders.
