DC has had a string of movies that have been failures and this movie might have some signs of life but not when you're going off the box office. 1997 was the year and Comedy Central was the station. This week we discuss, and mostly laugh about the hit show that is still on the air, South Park. Although the newer seasons have dropped in quality, there are 20+ seasons that hold up and are extremely quotable. This show spawned a movie and multiple video games including the new one coming next year. Over the last month the trio of nerds have been getting together on XBOX and playing this co-op multiplayer game and it is finally time to talk about it. The gang is all back together for the first time in what feels like forever. They didn't have a topic to start, mostly because KJ wouldn't give them one, so the conversations flows into multiple different areas. Those areas include Corey and KJ arguing over Netflix, discussing the writer's strike and how AI could change the landscape of media, and also just random stuff the popped into our heads. Due to the weather being gorgeous and KJ rather being out on a lake with the other two nerds, this week will be another solo podcast before getting the gang back together next week. While we hope everyone enjoyed their July 4th holiday, a new stand-up special also released on the very same day on Netflix. Tom Segura, a hilarious comedian's, newest special "Sledgehammer" debuted and jumped to the most streamed program on Netflix for a short time, even beating out the newest season of The Witcher. In this episode KJ talks about when he learned of Tom and seeing him live a couple times, plus learning that being funny is definitely dependent on having an audience to play off of.

The Nerdy Trio is down to just a Nerd Solo in the latest episode. With Mike and Corey "sick", it falls to KJ to put out the next episode. And with wanting to wait to talk about some of the important nerdy stuff (Indiana Jones, Secret Invasion, etc.) KJ decided to discuss his latest vacation. He also briefly touches on his vacation from December which involved a trip to Florida. But the most recent vacation was at a lake and there may have been a ton of money spent on jet ski rental too. After a pre-recorded episode the nerdy group is back, well two of them anway. KJ and Corey take this week to talk about The Flash, the new DC movie that just came out. They discuss DC in general, along with James Gunn who is now the head guy at the studio for movies, and we also jump into the good and back of this latest movie. The good being seeing Michael Keaton as Batman again and some of the story elements. With the bad being the horrible CGI and some of the story elements. We break it all down, with a bit less banter than usual. Mostly due to the week away or because the banter flows more with three people. Hopefully Mike is feeling better next week but for now enjoy this latest episode about The Flash.
