They first revved themselves up for Neil Blomkamp’s adaptation of the popular video game “Gran Turismo” (22:16). Then, they boarded the ill-fated titular vessel to talk “The Last Voyage of the Demeter” (37:48) before checking out Emma Seligman’s follow-up to “Shiva Baby” with “Bottoms” (49:00). Lastly, before touching on “Meg 2: The Trench” in the saddest Rec or Dreck segment to date (59:22), they braved yet another superhero movie in the theater, this time for the DCEU’s penultimate entry in “Blue Beetle” (01:02).

Welcome back to the show!
On tonight’s episode, after a few birthday wishes (03:12) and some “News to Dave” (09:23), Dave and Evan traveled to upstate New York to revel in the hilarious new comedy “Theater Camp” (16:23). Then, they found the nearest embalmed hand once belonging to a medium to gush over “Talk to Me” (31:20) before venturing to (and below) the streets of The Glen to dig into a legitimately great Netflix original film “They Cloned Tyrone” (51:09). After a brief detour to touch on a few recs and dreck (57:52), Dave finally got to nerd out over the latest iteration of our favorite chemically-altered reptiles in “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem” (01:07:31).
As always, send us an email or shoot us a message on Instagram with your thoughts and questions which we’ll happily address and answer on our next episode. Enjoy!

Welcome back to the show! On this week’s episode, Dave and Evan (or Skrulls impersonating them) are talking Marvel’s latest television entry with “Secret Invasion” (12:52) before diving deep into Wes Anderson’s eleventh feature film in “Asteroid City” (23:47). They then indulged in everything gastronomy by visiting “The Bear” (44:54) and reveling in its sumptuous second season. Lastly, they traveled back in time (not to kill baby Hitler, but close) for Harrison Ford’s latest and presumably last donning of the hat, “Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny” (01:19:16). Enjoy!
On this special episode, Dave and I are looking back on the last six months and, after reviling some of the worst films we’ve have the displeasure of seeing (09:10), are reveling in the best of the best to hit movie theaters and television screens in 2023 (15:18). Surprisingly, we only had three pictures overlap on each other’s lists. We round out the show by previewing what we are most looking forward to in the months ahead (01:08:12). It’s sure to be an amazing fall of films.

Then, we holed ourselves up in a hotel room with Christoper Abbott and Margaret Qualley to voyeuristically revel in the twisted “Sanctuary” (23:56) before teaming up with Chris Hemsworth’s Tyler Rake yet again for Netflix’s “Extraction 2” (36:09). Lastly, much to Dave’s chagrin, we re-entered the Speed Force to dissect and disparage the newest (and penultimate) entry in the DCEU, “The Flash” (53:00). Our opinions varied on three of these and we’d love to hear yours. Enjoy the show everyone!
