  • 002. Knock at the Cabin, Women Talking, You People, and Infinity Pool

It’s officially February and the first big movie of the year is upon us! Dave and I start this episode by reviewing Brandon Cronenberg’s debatably allegorical but certainly gross-out indie flick Infinity Pool (12:21), the Netflix original comedy You People (35:14) starring Jonah Hill and Eddie Murphy, and Sarah Polly’s Oscar-nominated character study Women Talking (46:41). Then, we get into the feature review for the episode, M. Night Shyamalan’s Knock at the Cabin (01:14:23), and argue whether or not Night has regained his fastball as a filmmaker and writer. As always, check us out on Instagram at talking_pictures_podcast for reels from this show and past ones and for Evan’s reviews of even more films that graced the big and silver screens over the last couple weeks. Enjoy the show everybody!

  • 001. M3GAN, The Last of Us, Sick, and Skinamarink

It's officially the month of Dumpuary! On our debut episode, we are talking about the biggest movies hitting theaters and streamers in the first half of January 2023, starting with the creepypasta sensation Skinamarink (10:36), the Kevin Williamson-produced slasher flick Sick (29:26), and the techno-horror thriller M3GAN (58:35). We also discuss the series premiere of the highly touted dystopian drama The Last of Us (41:05), and touch on two other films that dropped, Plane (50:27) and House Party (55:14). Hope you enjoy the show!

  • The Official Talking Pictures Podcast Trailer

Welcome to Talking Pictures! We're talking about the latest films, the latest talkies, the latest pictures, hitting movie theaters and streaming services near you. Every two weeks, Evan and Dave will check in to talk about, rate, and argue over the films that have just been released at your local cineplex or on your closest TV! Each episode will feature discussions over the biggest four movies released over the past couple weeks, with honorable (or, more likely, dishonorable) mentions of a few of the other films dropped that don’t quite warrant the time and energy to review. Slide thru our Instagram page at @talking_pictures_podcast where we will post written reviews as well as video snippets of each and every episode. Enjoy the show!
