  • 093 – Digital Bruncheon | LIVE Guest Panel Discussing: PWG Controversy | WWE U.K. Tournament | ITV World of Sport | Chris Hero to WWE | 2016 Year in Review | Sheetys | Sealys & more
We are joined today by an amazing guest list for our first Digital Bruncheon—a casual conversation among friends talking the latest news in wrestling, the year in review, and a few hopes for 2017.
Les, Sealia and Hugh are joined by Mike “Papa” Hales of Talking Graps, Kris Zellner of Between the Sheets, Jeff Hawkins of Shake Them Ropes, Allan Blackstock of Letters From Kayfabe, and Skillcrane of Tap or Snap to discuss SO MUCH! We tackle the recently announced WWE U.K. championship tournament, Chris Hero’s impact on the indie scene, and his apparent return to WWE, the rise of wrestling streaming services, who will win the WWE Wrestler of the Year award. We give our Star Ratings for Wrestling overall in 2016, and talk about the biggest stories of the year and what we believe to be wrestling’s most thoroughly beaten dead horse in 2016!
Plus, Sealia and Hugh hand out their Sealys for the year—awards that didn’t quite make it onto the Sheety ballot, but that are just as fun!

  • TS Mid-Week 14 – WWE’s Big E Tweets Black Excellence | Alberto Del Rio & Paige Trouble | Who Disappointed Chris Hero? | Jeff Jarrett Talking with TNA | WWE Roadblock
Les is joined by Sheety nominee David Bixenspan of the Between the Sheets podcast talking all of the week’s news so far, including Big E’s controversial “Black Excellence” tweet, and Kofi Kingston’s clarifying response, ex-WWE star Alberto Del Rio’s backstage brawl in Mexico, and the continued spiral of him and fiancee Paige…
We talk over the situation with wrestling’s hottest indie act, Chris Hero, and his tweet earlier this week over being disappointed by “irresponsible journalism,” and who might that have been aimed at. John Pollock reported that TNA is talking former star, and company co-founder Jeff Jarrett, a claim PWInsider’s Mike Johnson.
Finally, we wrap things up with some quick hits from the week on Hulk Hogan, Vince McMahon’s hand-on production of 205 Live, AJ Styles’ injury and lots more.

  • 092 – Vice on WWE Culture & Shane McMahon Takeover Attempt | Know Your Sheet News From Wrestling Observer, PW Torch, PWInsider | WWE Writer Out | Evolution of Criticism in Wrestling | Linda McMahon | WWE in the UK | Hugh’s Views
A jam-packed show this week, as Les kicks things off with a soliloquy about why he started Talking Sheet and SheetSandwich.com, and what the Sheetys are all about. Hugh also offers his Ode to the Sheetys (which is amazing). Then, the guys do a Know Your Sheet rundown of the news from the week, citing headlines from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, PW Torch, and PW Insider including the departure of Tom Casiello from his role as head of the Raw and SmackDown writing teams.
Les lets us know who made it onto his Sheet List for the week, looking at articles from Barry Hess at Voices of Wrestling, Vice Sports, Dave Meltzer, Keith Harris and Greg Parks, including Les’s thought that we’re at an awkward stage in wrestling coverage where we kind of have Broadway critics reviewing feature films.
Finally, Hugh’s Views takes a look at Hugh’s listen list, including Allan Blackstock and Parv’s interview with Chris Hero on Letters from Kayfabe and a lot more!

Les, Hugh & Sealia are back with the nominations for the 2016 Sheety Awards Gala Event coming up later this month.
But first, Sealia lets us in on her conversation with the woman at the center of a sexism kerfuffle at F4Wonline, we look at Bruce Mitchell’s recent column on WWE’s portrayal of sex and their women athletes, and a PWP Nation piece on whether or not Charlotte vs. Sasha feud has become the new John Cena vs. Randy Orton feud for the promotion.
Les has a “Know Your Sheet” lightening round of news from this week’s editions of the PW Torch and Wrestling Observer newsletters, including Wade Keller and Dave Meltzer clips on the Young Bucks’ recent contract offer(s).
The gang look at the latest inductees into the Wrestling Observer Hall of Fame, including Sealia’s referencing the WWE Encyclopeaaadia to tell us their “official” take on the class of 2016.
And, in the main event of the show the trio run down this year’s nominations for the wrestling news and coverage awards, as we kick off the second annual Sheety Awards Extravaganza.
Polls will be open starting next week so listeners, readers and other interested parties can vote for who they feel are the most deserving across many different categories of awards.

  • TS Mid-Week 12 – Ric Flair back in WWE | Hometown Loss for Charlotte | Wrestling with Sexism | Where in the World Was Daniel Bryan? | 205Live Buzz & Reactions | WWE TLC
Les and Sealia are joined this week by Kris Zellner of the Between the Sheets and Exile on Bradstreet podcasts for a very, sort-of non-PC edition of the show.
We talk about the news that Ric Flair will be returning to WWE as a regular, on-screen performer and recap the last time the Nature Boy was in the news, back in October, when we were still on hiatus and he made his Halle Berry claims.
We look at the main event from Monday night, as well as the ongoing trend of Superstars losing in their hometowns, the conversation and brightening spotlight on sexism in pro wrestling and wrestling fandom, plus Inspector Ringside Missing Persons case, 205Live reactions, a mini-tLC preview and more.

  • 090 – How Thanksgiving Started the Monday Night War | Prepping for Complaints About Too Much WWE Content | Meltzer Responds to Fightful Article | TJ Wilson off Total Divas
Les, Hugh and Sealia are back to talk the weekend news on the Prime edition of the show. Les gives a lesson on how the pay per view battle of 1985 between WWF and NWA Crockett Promotions would eventually lead to the Monday Night War as the gang look back on the Dave Meltzer History of Wrestling on Thanksgiving piece from 2010.
Then the gang talk about 205 Live premiering next week, and how so many wrestling podcasts lately lament the amount of content WWE are producing. We look at the Dave Meltzer article comparing WWE business if they hadn’t abandoned pay per view, which he wrote in response to Brandon Howard’s recent article at fightful.com.
We look at TJ Wilson / Tyson Kidd’s recent tweets announcing that he is off Total Divas due to WWE not wanting the story of his injury out there, Sealia makes Mick Foley’s recipe from JR’s cookbook, and we look back on his book Have a Nice Day, and Dave Meltzer’s article from 1999 when the book was released.
Sealia let’s us know how she sees the wrestling scene for the week, and Hugh wraps us up with his View for the week as well!

Tonight on the show we’ll look at the Bill Goldberg phenomenon in WWE, and his controversial win over Brock Lesnar at this past Sunday’s Survivor Series. We’ll break down both sides of the argument, plus look at what’s next for Goldberg in WWE.
