This week we're headed under the sea and we're not talking about Sebastian, Ariel, & co. Georgia's pick brings us the Jules Verne classic "20,000 Leagues Under The Sea" Ethan and Ian both love the underwater sequence but don't think it belongs in this film while Georgia talks about the links to the original Jules Verne novel and the feats of filmmaking this represents and Ellie answers the great squid vs squids debate and we discover what the collective noun for a group of squid/squids is. One thing we all could agree on though is that we all loved Esmerelda, the sea lion. Also, this week we continue our segment of 'A Pause For The Parks" featuring some content from friend of the podcast, Andrew. Evil has a beginning and we're not talking about Ethan's origin story, no, we're talking about this week's review of Maleficent. Ellie's got a heck of a job to do this week defending the Angelina Jolie super-proejct as Ethan's got questions about the editing, Ian gets tired of the CGI, Georgia talks about the inconsistencies in the storyline (both within the Sleeping Beauty established narrative and the film's internal logic), Ethan points out how the iron does what it wants to happen, Ian rages about the lack of earned consequences in the film and hates that nothing feels big because it's all been done on a green screen. We all think Jolie does a pretty good job though and is that enough to tip the scales in Maleficent's favour? In Episode 36, we tackle Moana and what can we say, except you're welcome? Ethan's pick lines up with the recent Maori Language Awareness Week and we're all feeling like voyagers and wayfinders (watch out for that warm gulfstream). Ellie's got conflicting opinions on the Grandma power rankings, Georgia is overwhelmed by having 4 or 5 non-speaking characters to choose from, Ethan relays some of the Maori folklore he grew up with and somehow Ian compared himself to Mariah Carey? Join your favourite Disney Podcasting team - Ellie, Ethan, and Ian – in a three part barbershop as we analyse a film with two charming and talented actors, and joining them is Steve Gutterberg. Ethan wants to know why there's a clumsy drug plot in the middle of a fish-out-of-water story, Ellie connects with the random store assistant selling baby food, Ian is infatuated with Tom Selleck's good looks, Ethan finds Ted Danson's stage acting wooden, while Ian comments at how the men actually learn nothing about themselves morally and WE ALL HATE SYLVIA. .

Ohana means family and that means nobody gets left behind or forgotten - maybe a strange episode to do with Georgia not around but regardless, join your favourite Disney Podcasting team - Ellie, Ethan, and Ian – as we analyse a film that was initially supposed to be a retelling of the Ugly Duckling in the Kansas Woodlands, in Lilo & Stitch. Ellie fact checks the presence of milkshakes bringing the boys to the yard in 2002 and questions the lack of child locks in a social worker's rental car while Ethan talks about some dark fan theory regarding the death of Nani & Lilo's parents while Ian wants to know why Ohana doesn't apply to any of the Hawaiian villagers who just let Nani and Lilo struggle and we all question why everyone talks about the sisterly bond in Frozen but ignores a film that preceded it with the same message a decade earlier.

Join your favourite Disney Podcasting team - Ellie, Ethan, and Ian – alongside our visiting crew chief, Richard, as we analyse the last independently produced Pixar film before Disney's acquisition of the production company. Ellie wants to know how Lightning can choose to jump, Ethan wants to know when we're supposed to care about Lightning McQueen, Richard feels that maybe this film doesn't live up to the Pixar label and Ian has a free therapy session about Larry the Cable Guy and for some reason just rants about some Michael J. Fox film.
