It’s here- long and eagerly awaited, (since last weeks Boys Night), it’s Girls Night! After the boys' review of Mandalorian, it only seemed fair that the girls got a solo episode this week, so we dive back into the chilly world of Arendelle to explore the Frozen shorts- all three of them! We discuss why Frozen gets as much attention as it does, Ellie’s journey with her relationship with Olaf, which songs matched up to the standard of the main film and how long exactly can a film be before it can’t be classed as a ‘short’
Plus we’ve got our usual Pause for the Parks, our podcast friend segment from Andrew- read by Ian... what happened to girls night?! Let us know your thoughts on the episode by joining in the conversation on Twitter (@talkthemickey) Instagram or Facebook (@talkingthemickey) to feature in our shoutouts next episode!
It's Boys Night as Ian and Ethan join together to discuss the Disney+ original series, Season 1 of the Mandalorian. Join your favourite Disney podcasting crew (or at least half of them) as we head deep into Season 1 of the Mandalorian. Ian tries to keep Ethan's Star Wars' fandom from reaching extremist levels while Ethan is patient and kind when he explains that the child is not 'Baby Yoda'. We go spoiler-free on Season 2 but dive deep into the lore of the Mandalorian, praise Happy Hogan for saving Star Wars and we take some pot shots at Boba Fett's treatment in the original trilogy. Plus we've got friend of the podcast, Andrew with some parks related content. So, catch up on some great Disney content and then join the conversation (@talkthemickey), Instagram (@talkingthemickey), or on our Facebook page (@talkingthemickey). We’ve got one for the underdogs this week as we’re headed to the Hundred Acre Wood to review Piglet’s Big Movie. Join your favourite Disney podcasting crew –Ethan, Georgia & Ian as we head deep into Piglet’s river-proof scrapbook.. We’re singing ho for the life of the bear as Ethan berates the animation, Ian thinks Pooh needs an intervention as he’s a terrible friend and Georgia is firmly aboard the nostalgia bus. Bring us that horizon! We're sailing the Seven Seas with the worst pirate you've ever heard of... but you have heard of him in Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. Join your favourite Disney podcasting crew – Ellie, Ethan, Georgia & Ian – along with Liam from Best Film Ever - as we head into Crossover infested waters. It's anything but a mutiny in this 45th episode as we discuss:

You won't like us when we're hungry. Did he say that right? This week we break the rules of our own universe by going outside of Disney Plus in order to stay true to the Marvel Cinematic Universe with 2008's The Incredible Hulk. We debate the difference between Ed Norton & Mark Ruffalo, inquire why we never saw Betty Ross, Abomination, or The Master in any subsequent films, and ask if it's even possible to do a good Hulk film. Also, was Ed Norton (the actor) done a disservice by Ed Norton (the writer) or do we blame the direction of Ed Norton (the director). Either way, New York never looked so much Toronto, Canada. We've got some more from out Pause for the Parks segment (with an improvised theme song) So, catch up on some great Disney content and then join the conversation (@talkthemickey), Instagram (@talkingthemickey), or on our Facebook page (@talkingthemickey). This is not a good movie! On the way to the lake, we turned on this film for 20 minutes and it almost stole our souls. Join your our family of Disney Podcasters - Ellie, Ethan, Georgia, and Ian - as we find ourselves trying to make any sense out of the story in The Haunted Mansion . Ian thinks it's a suicidey remix of Beauty & The Beast, Georgia comes up with an idea for a new business, Ellie might need some coaching on what makes someone a character, Georgia & Ethan go all supernerdy about the ride and everyone except for Ian loves the barbershop statues. If you like the episodes where Ian rants and raves, this is a great episode for you. Plus we've got our friend Andrew working overtime to give us all the great parks content in our Pause for the Parks segment.
We're heading to the future and somehow experiencing dinosaurs. Join your our family of Disney Podcasters - Ellie, Ethan, and Ian - as we get into a time machine and try to figure out the cocaine experiment that was Meet The Robinsons. Ellie enjoys the sight of orphans overdosing on caffeine, Ian rages on the whole second act and Ethan claims there isn't even a third act at all. More than anything though, Ian and Ethan wish they were watching a Phineas & Ferb rather than it's Diet Coke first draft. It's not a great film but we promise it's a great episode. It's time to go back to the 80s as we find out what happened Once Upon A Time In New York City with the 28th Disney Animated Classic, Oliver & Company. Join your our gang of Disney Podcasters - Ellie, Ethan, Georgia, and Ian - as we get into a New York State of Mind with this reimagining of Charles Dickens' seminal classic, Oliver Twist. Georgia espouses love for the ginger-haired, titular character while Ellie finds a spirit animal in Bette Midler's Georgette, Ethan isn't feeling the chihuahua energy of Cheech Marin and Ian makes a lot of comparisons of Oliver & Company to Treasure Planet (and you know that's not going to end well). More than anything though, Ian and Ethan try to one up each other on Billy Joel puns to the chagrin of Georgia and Ellie who aren't as familiar with New York's finest PIano Man. Also, this week we continue our segment of 'A Pause For The Parks" featuring some content from friend of the podcast, Andrew. Why are there so many song about rainbows? We've got a crossover episode this week as we are joined by Liam from Best Film Ever. This week Ian's pick has us heading back to 1979 for the first theatrical release for Jim Henson's greatest creations in The Muppet Movie. Ellie tries to defend Miss Piggy, Georgia gushes over the art of puppetry and the genius of Jim Henson, Liam is our cameo expert, Ethan compares himself to Scooter and Ian swore he heard a sound effect from another movie that wouldn't be released for another 5 years. Also, this week we continue our segment of 'A Pause For The Parks" featuring some content from friend of the podcast, Andrew. Get your hankies out, it's an emotional one this week. The release of Onward in the UK means that we can finally catch up on a long overdue promise to review Pixar's newest film. Ellie and Georgia argue that Ian's (the character) dad might not be a wizard while Ethan and Ian (the podcaster) share some personal stories about losing their dads. Everyone thinks Ian (the character)'s mum is pretty cool but Ian re-writes the finish and the teamm begrudgingly agree that it's a better film for it.
