In this episode of Talking with Tanya, I sit down with my best friend to reflect on the life lessons we’ve learned through the friendships we’ve built over time. Relationships can act as mirrors, showing us more about ourselves — our likes, our boundaries, and the people who make us feel truly safe. We discuss how recognizing these feelings can turn into wisdom we carry forward into future connections.
We also share our 3-day fasting experience, the challenges we faced, and the personal growth that came from pushing through. Finally, we celebrate how far we’ve come, the lessons we’ve learned, and where we are now on our self-growth journeys.

In this episode, I sit down with two of my good friends to talk about ADHD — what it was like growing up with it, the struggles we face as adults, and the unexpected gifts like hyperfocus. We also dive into coping tools, friendships, and how ADHD shows up in relationships.
This episode was definitely a journey to create. I originally recorded the whole thing on a third-party app, but the file corrupted because I didn’t have enough space on my phone. The next day, I rerecorded with my friends, but halfway through one of my mics died. My friend recorded too, but his angle caught my tripod and lights (plus a small spotlight on my face 😅). In the end, I ended up using his audio with my video — even though you might hear my A/C in the background — because I just wanted to share this conversation.
The final product isn’t “perfect,” but I think that’s what makes it real. Just like ADHD itself, creating this episode was messy, frustrating, and imperfect — but also full of connection, laughter, and heart.
Disclaimer: I am not a medical professional and this episode is not intended as medical advice. I do not promote self-diagnosing ADHD. In the episode, I share that through personal research I identify with ADHD, but due to limited resources I have not received a formal diagnosis. This conversation is meant to share personal experiences only.
I hope you enjoy it and maybe even see a piece of yourself in our stories.

In this episode, I open up about one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make—leaving a 9-year relationship and moving back to California to start fresh. It’s raw, it’s honest, and it’s real.
I share what led to this choice, the fears that held me back for so long, and how growing up with a helicopter parent shaped my sense of independence (or lack of it). I also talk about what grounding means to me now, and how I’m learning to trust myself—even when I don’t have all the answers.
If you’ve ever felt stuck, afraid to leave, or unsure of how to begin again… this episode is for you.
💛 Come sit with me in this messy middle. We’re allowed to start over—again and again.
Who are you, really—beyond the roles you were given or the expectations placed on you? In this episode, I talk about the journey of becoming who you actually are. From the pressure to “have it all figured out” to how clothes, jobs, and relationships shape (and sometimes confuse) our sense of self, I share personal stories and reflections to remind you that identity isn’t fixed—it evolves with experience. Together, we’ll explore what it means to let go of who you were told to be, how trying different paths helps you learn what truly fits, and gentle ways to reconnect with your most authentic self. You’re allowed to change. You’re allowed to not know. This is your becoming.\

Let’s talk about what it really means to find your voice… and use it.
