Amanda and I discuss the many different forms of self-harm that exist including the obvious ones and some that aren't always acknowledged as being forms of self-harm. We talk about some of our experiences with self-harming and how it has affected us personally. Emma Claire joins the podcast this week to discuss her many diagnoses, including ADHD, OCD, Major Depressive Disorder and EDNOS, just to name a few. Emma and I also discuss many topics such as the benefits and importance of having a diagnosis as well as the negative influence society and media has on mental health and the stigma surrounding it.

A music student at Western University in London Ontario, Peggy is interested in music therapy and using choirs as a way to help young people with mood disorders.

Blake joins the podcast to share his amazing story of hope and resilience. I had the wonderful opportunity to spend 3 months with Blake last summer traveling across Eastern Canada with LiveDifferent to give presentations in schools.

Blake had a tough battle with his mental health after suffering multiple concussions playing hockey. On top of sharing his story, we cover a broad range of topics including the importance of meaningful and intentional conversations, the struggles of opening up about your mental health as a male, and finding your true purpose in life.
