Have you ever been in a situation where you were set up and you didn't even realize that it was a set up until you were in the midst of the situation?  Well that's what this week's podcast episode was for me.  Y'all I had to go do some research on this Founder/CEO/Entrepreneur before I could even agree to do the interview, because I swear I was being punked, but I am so glad that I took the time out to have this conversation, because it taught me so much about the heartbeat of an entrepreneur who is on a mission that is bigger than her and has an opportunity that she isn't wasting.

This week I got to speak with non-other than Ms. Shiloh A Johnson, the CEO of ComplYant.  I know most follks are amazed at the fact that she is in the FinTech Space and is representing on so many levels. She truly is helping to set up some ground breaking ways.  I am most amazed at the journey she took to bet on herself and the work she took to get to where she is today.

We discussed the formation of the idea; market research; the sacrifices she made; and how she connected with her mentor; how she pays it forward; and how she bets on her team and herself. GO TEAM!!  This was a rich conversation that ignited me to look at things different within myself and my own company and I pray that it does the same for you and causes you to make the best changes for you.

This week's episode is literally one of those years in the making kind of episodes.  This week's guest was in the trenches with me strategizing when this podcast was just a figment of my imagination and I am so glad that I have the opportunity to pause and have you capture what one of our strategy conversations actually sounds like.

Ya'll we even got into a discussion about when we are in absuive situations we take on those characteristics of our abusers and start to abuse ouselves (we talking in any kind of absuive relationship).  WHEW!!

As she explains in this podcast, you can't just fit Angie into a specific box on business or ministry, because she has been called to deal and expose with those unspoken, nobody wants to talk about issues that cause us to dig deep into whom we happen to be, breakthrough the mess, and provide solutions so that we show up as the best versions of ourselves in work relationships, romantic relationships; familal relationships....ALL RELATIONSHIPS!!

Can I just say that this week's episode has me MORE than humbled, I mean seriously like what was I really thinking before I got broken down in this week's episode.  There are so many things that the owner's/founders of The Brainery Experience, LLC dropped in my lap and I am already a sure enough advocate of tutoring, coaching, supplementing education so that my children have a fighting chance in the classroom.  

As a mother of four, with each child having their own personalities, and own social experiences, I am very much aware of being in tune with what's going with these kids. Plus I am that mama that will ask you 50 billion questions 85 ways until you give me an answer that matches whom you are (them auditing skills come in handy ERRYWHERE).  But this conversation made me stop and rethink the whole being on the honor role versus making sure that I am doing my part to shape my set of Global Thinkers.

Y'all this episode right here has been over a year in the making.  Shucks this episode was up for discussion when the podcast was just a figment in my imagination. During this episode I share with you how even though I was on the road to being consistent again I ran into some serious issues with an eye infection AND wanted to tap out for a second week in a row, but decided I was going to PRESS THROUGH ANYWAY (bad eye and all) and share with you why my fear of not having my eyesight caused me to REALLY see what God has planned for me and so many other business owners for what is down the road.

So when one of your senses is knocked out, what do you get to really tap into and what do you plan on building as other things open up for you?  Don't let your FEARS or the things that you actually CAN see get in the way of what you CAN'T see and stop you from moving forward. It's the things that we can't see that help build is into who we are supposed to be.
