We live in a creative age where it has been easier than ever before to put our work out into the world. Yet, many of us are afraid that we have nothing to say. We all have the ability to add value in this world. The hard work is having the courage to put out there for the world to see.

Derek Sivers wrote a book about his experience of starting a business and then ultimately selling the business when it was no longer fun for him. What he learned was that you can have anything you want, you just can't have everything.

Seth Godin is known as one of the greatest marketers of all time, in fact, was recently inducted into the marketing hall of fame. One of his best known books is Purple Cow. If we want our message to spread, we need to understand this concept of being a purple cow.

Consuming content through reading books, listening to podcasts, watching TED talks is great, but do you stop there? Reaching out to the creator of the content might have a bigger impact than you know.
