  • The Kids Aren't Alright, But Nicholas is Feeling Much Better
Its been a 6 week sabbatical as Nicholas battled a bad case of Covid and personal loss. We return in good spirits and discuss some of the lost month and try to get back into the swing of things. In the second half of the episode we play an episode we attempted to air a month ago (in the thick of Nick's Covid nightmare) and discuss some gross things our friends and listeners used to do as children as Nick attempts to not die on the air. Its a smattering of crap as we try and regain our footing and get back to doing this regularly.  (Music: "Candour" by Neck Deep)

  • All Burned Out!
Very close to depression lies a condition nearly just as common to the American worker...Burnout. On this episode we delve into the symptoms and feelings surrounding those times when you just feel like you can't bring yourself to get up and do much of anything. Have any of you experienced this lately? How routinely do you feel this happens to you? Addison takes over hosting duties this week in a well researched episode that we somehow manage to ruin with booze. (Music: “Actin Crazy” by Action Bronson)

  • Don’t Call Me Haystacks
On this episode we examine the listener responses stemming from our last episode, an interview with Roger Montez. From heart broken to deeply inspired, we share actual responses to an incredible interview/story. Addison talks about some of his history in law enforcement and then determines he might want to franchise a Denny’s instead. Order up a grand slam breakfast and a few bud lights in a bottle and have some fun going through some incredible responses from effected listeners. (Music: “Don’t Call Me Peanut” by Bayside)

  • Far Removed from the Men We Were with Roger Montez
On October 5th, 2017 former master patrol officer Roger Montez responded to a call that would change his (and many other lives) forever. During a standoff with police, an armed 29 year old man made his way towards officer Montez (and other officers) who pleaded for the man to show them his hands. During this incident, officer Montez and a sheriff's deputy were put into the position of having to fire upon the suspect, which ultimately took his life. Prior to this incident, Roger Montez had already dealt with unthinkable amounts of mental anguish in his own personal life. On this episode of "Tall, Dark & Random" we will be joined by Roger Montez himself and hear this incredibly emotional story in his own words. While many layers of his tale are considered dark and tragic, Montez has found a way to see the light at the end of the tunnel and has turned some harrowing moments into hope while finding a way to help other people survive, understand and accept their own personal tragedies. Our thoughts and good vibes go out to everyone affected by the incident we will be speaking about in this episode. Viewer discretion is strongly advised. • Why Can’t I Be What You Need? : Part 2
On last weeks show we shared Body Image stories sent in by our listeners and the response was so incredible we had to do a part 2! Join us for some responses to last weeks show as well as more listener stories of body image issues that have plagued them in life. Do you know anyone who is constantly put down by their own parents? Do you feel insecure because of a scar or or birthmark? Did you grow up obese with everybody constantly reminding you? Do you know how to talk to your children about interacting with people afflicted with disabilities? These are just a few of the topics we have (and will continue) to discuss on this weeks episode. Thank you to all of the brave listeners who contributed their stories that will undoubtedly help someone else who is tuning in. We are all in this together! (Music: "No One Really Wins" Copeland)

  • Why Can’t I Be What You Need? : Part 1
Why are so many of us critical of the way we look? Why do we attempt to find our value in our weight or in how we dress? Why are the first things we choose to see about ourselves mostly always something negative? This week we examine the topic of body image as told through the responses of our listeners. We would like to thank each and every person who wrote in! This topic is officially our most responded to topic in the shows history. We had so many responses, we had to make it a two part affair. Tune in for a huge dose of depth, courage and lessons learned. (Music: "Autumn's Monologue" by From Autumn to Ashes)

  • You’re Not The Worst Co-Host I’ve Ever Had
Last week we promised you an in depth topic on body image; a topic that deserves our full attention and focus. After a couple of days of travel and dealing with some personal matters, Nicholas was in no mental shape to host the show, so this week Addison is taking the reigns with Nicholas firmly planted in the passenger seat. We look back Warped Tours past & our first experiences in a true recording studio. We discuss how anxiety often disrupts Nicks ability to enjoy these moments. Addison opens up about having to tell a 10 year old she has to move schools while comparing and contrasting on our own experiences in dealing with the same thing as children. Nicholas shoots around with the Chicago Bulls, Addison sings some Boyz II Men and we make it through an episode without bringing a veggie tray to share with anyone else. We’ll be back with an episode on body image next week!!! Heeee’s Gonnnnaaa!!! Heeee’s Gonnnna!!! Heeee’s Gonnnnna Host!! He’s Gonnnnna Host!!! (Music: “She Loves You” by The Gaslight Anthem)

  • The Perks of Being a “Dun-Dun”
After a sad, emo hiatus on par with the book “the perks of being a wallflower”, we return with a massive declaration of complete irrelevance. Where have we been? Why don’t we read books twice? Why the hell didn’t we buy a hot tub that one time? Why is time for New Found Glory to hang it up? Why can Set Your Goals and Crime in Stereo go fuck themselves? Just click play and be in on the inside jokes so you can laugh with us. It’s great to be back! We legit haven’t been this excited since Nick got a “dun dun” from “dun dun”. • Awkward from the Jump
This week we take the opportunity to respond to some of our write in listeners and allow them to voice their questions, opinions and even a few snide comments. We tackle questions about parenthood, anxiety triggers, lapsed friendships and for the fifth week in a row, someone on the Keto diet is upset because we refuse to believe that a cheeseburger patty can be considered a vegetable. Join us for an episode so big and exciting that Addison needed an impromptu bathroom break. (Music: “Selkies the Endless Obsession by BTBAM)
