There’s a lot going on. 45 picked another Supreme Court Justice and rolled backed an Obama-Era Affirmative Action policy in schools and colleges. The revolving door continues, EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt is the latest to exit the White House. Is General Kelly next? While 45’s rallies and insults continue, immigrant children have still not been reunited with their parents. We have numerous “Living While Black” incidents to talk about.

Days after Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen was heckled by protesters at a Mexican restaurant, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was asked to leave a restaurant. Reportedly, Sanders was told the restaurant has certain standards … it has to uphold such as honesty, compassion and cooperation.

What’s your take? Should the owner of an establishment have the right to refuse service to a customer whose actions and beliefs are contrary to theirs?

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, once referred to as “Rocket Man” by the president now appears to be Trumps’ new BFF. Despite Kim’s brutal and inhuman dictatorship, President Trump seems to think Kim is “praiseworthy”. In admiring Kim, President Trump told Fox News: “He’s the head of a country, and I mean he’s the strong head. Don’t let anyone think anything different. He speaks, and his people sit up at attention. I want my people to do the same.” President Trump claimed he was joking about the latter. Was he really?

The new NFL National Anthem rules were designed to prevent kneeling in protest of police brutality and racial inequality. The new policy requires players to stand for the national anthem on the field or wait in the locker room. The president is on record saying that NFL players who do not stand for the national anthem maybe “shouldn’t be in the country.”

Let’s skip President Trump's BS this week, a 65 year an old black woman was dragged out of her car by several officers. A grandma, where’s the outrage? When did it become a crime to nap in the commons area of your dorm, or to shop at Nordstrom Rack for your prom, or go to the Waffle House after the prom, or a cookout at an Oakland park? That’s just the list for last week. Do you think Black students are more successful when their teachers are Black?

Camille Cosby, wife of Bill Cosby released a statement denouncing the sexual assault verdict of her husband painting him as a victim of an unfair racist system and a biased press. She even compared Mr. Cosby’s accusers to the accusers of Emmett Till, the 14 year old African American boy falsely accused of sexual assault in 1955 and Darryl Hunt, an African American male wrongly convicted of rape and murder in 1984.

Alleged bad and questionable conduct by some prominent celebrities has dominated the airwaves of the past week. The conviction of Bill Cosby, allegations of mental and physical abuse by Nas, more sexual allegations against R. Kelly, bizarre rants from Kanye and the ever present Stormy Daniels saga have many of us picking sides and making excuses based on our personal affection for our favorite stars. Activists from the Me Too movement are even calling on radio stations to ban all music from R Kelly.
