Violence splashed across El Paso newspapers late summer of 1966.  Ruth Holland lived a quiet, opulent life, her wealth on display as she drove a gold Cadillac around town. The ex-wife of a race track owner, intellectual Ruth loved gardening and kept a close, small circle of friends. On Sept. 8th. her maid discovered the home in disarray, Ruth nowhere to be found. Investigators would find Ruth, kicking off an investigation that would keep El Pasoans on edge wondering who would kill her?
