How’s everybody doing!? Today’s episode of TARODCAST has a premise that was founded by “A Goofy Movie,” but there’s not much that’s truly “goofy” about it. To see things eye-to-eye means to understand, even if you don’t agree. As Black Americans, we sometimes have an issue with that—as we are very quick to discount someone’s very existence if they do not fit what we innately believe. Doing so, however, keeps us from building on our perspective on life, and hinders us from growing as individuals. Even if we disagree, we still owe it to ourselves to know, and also accept, that opinions will differ from ours, but they’re still welcome. I hope you enjoy the show!!

Hey y’all!

Today’s episode talks about one thing that *should* unite the Black Community, and that is “Black Culture.” For centuries, African/Black Americans were at the forefront of innovation and creativity, yet have had a lot of that uniqueness repurposed, repackaged and displayed with faces that don’t resemble our own. Nowadays, when we think about upholding Black Culture, we also forget the darker parts of our culture that we typically tend to ignore and sweep under the rug. We also speak on Doja Cat and her most recent “cancel culture” controversy. We go in-depth and pull no punches, but also we take some time to think about the ways we can work towards the unification and rebuilding of Black Culture.

What’s good everyone!

We’re back from hiatus and we’re talking about a set of interactions that have harmed Black Americans since we were first introduced into this country. We talk about the lasting effects that have continued to evolve in our interactions in the present-day. We identify, especially in cases like Amy Cooper’s, as well as my own run-ins with White women, how one’s “whiteness” is used as a first, AND last resort in shaping and controlling the narrative of Black interactions. We hope this episode sheds light on the reality of these situations, and helps to bring understanding and change that desperately needs to happen.
