Tarot & More

This is another "...and More" episode of the podcast. My guest today is Etai Nahary, Intuitive Human Design guide and teacher, a dear friend and fellow multipotentialite who's talking about his passion: Human Design from the perspective of True Sidereal Astrology.

Etai created my Human Design chart which you can see in the blog post here. In this episode, we are discussing the intricacies of being a Reflector (me) and a Projector (Etai) when using True Sidereal Astrology approach vs. being Generators if looked through the lens of Tropical Astrology (prevalent in the Western world). We also discuss the way we see Human Design and Tarot as tools for self reflection rather than a prescriptive view of our makeup and our future.

Host: Gosia Rokicka of Las Vistas Tarot & More

Guest: Etai Nahary of Etai's Corner

Episode 6: Part Two of My Friend Fire audio unboxing, of course!

This is the "& More" episode of this podcast. If you identify as Pagan of any type and live in England, this is a must-listen! But even if you don't, come for the vibes, the community and a bit of history behind the medieval city of Ely and the steel city of Sheffield, not to mention tips where to buy the best Pagan and Alternative gear (and Tarot & Oracle cards!) during in-person events in East Anglia and South Yorkshire in England.

My guest, Matt Routledge, is the organiser behind the beloved Ely's Pagan & Alternative Fayre brand (as well as its Sheffield branch and the Soul & Serenity event) and the boss of the Amber Ankh Events.

The upcoming Fayre is on 30 November 2025 (and yours truly will be there with independently published Tarot & Oracle cards from the Las Vistas shop).

This episode of Tarot & More is for Tarot enthusiasts and artists alike! I talk to Chase Voorhees, a multidisciplinary artist and the creator of the Tarot of the Holy Spectrum. We discuss their path as an artist as well as their Fool's journey into the world of Tarot, inspired by their life and work with Lindsay Mack. We delve into the artistic challenges of specific cards, such as Justice, the Devil, or Five of Wands, and Chase shares their thinking behind renaming The Hanged Man as The Tethered One.

Episode 4: Conversation with an event and community organiser from England. We'll talk about an event in which I'll have the pleasure of taking part on 30 November 2025 in Ely, Cambridgeshire. Stay tuned.

In this episode of Tarot & More, I talk to Lida Pavlova, a popular figure in the indie tarot community. Known as the worldwide witch, Lida shares her journey from performing readings with Barbie playing cards to founding her own indie publishing house, Modern Magic Press. Her journey intertwines with her Slavic heritage and her passion for crafting worlds, such as the post-apocalyptic animal universe depicted in the Bird King Tarot deck. Lida discusses the challenges and delights of being a night owl in a world of early risers and provides insights into how she selects projects and creates her unique tarot decks.

LIDA'S HAUNTED HOUSE SPREAD FOR HALLOWEEN:

(A spread you probably want to escape from!)

The old door that has shut down: What worked before, but won't work now?

The shadow in the mirror (or was that just you?): What makes you doubt and even suspect yourself?

The potion bubbling in the kitchen: What's brewing? (This is going to alter the situation unpredictably - if you give it time).

The ghost, wailing in the dark: What's the real problem?

The dusty library: Where, or how, to find all the answers to deal with?

The skeleton in the closet: What clue can this reading give you, before leaving you alone in the haunted house to try and sort this out?

(This spread comes from Lida's book "The Library of Questions").

Episode 3: Conversation with a multidisciplinary artist from the Pacific Northwest with a passion for exploring a wide range of creative expressions - and a special bond with Tarot.

In this introductory episode I welcome listeners to “Tarot & More,” explain my background and philosophy, and set the tone for what the series will explore. I frame Tarot as a reflective, artistic tool rather than a means of divination, and outline the kinds of conversations and guests listeners can expect in future shows.

.

Who's talking to you?

I'm Gosia, a multipassionate writer, poet, language teacher, translator, dog lover, and spiritually curious bookworm. I come from Poland but live in London, UK, and run an online shop curating indie Tarot & Oracle decks, especially those inspired by Eastern‑European and Slavic folklore: https://lasvistas.co.uk/

Core themes & takeaways:

Personal lens: Eclectic spiritual beliefs, grounded in evidence‑based science. Belief in spirits of loved ones watching over us. Resonating with Taurus' Earth element.

Tarot philosophy:

Tarot = self‑reflection, inspiration, and a spotlight on answers we already hold. Influenced by Lindsay Mack & Soul Tarot. Not a predictive tool but a catalyst for self-reflection and development.

Podcast focus:

Explore how contemporary artists reinterpret classic tarot symbols. Highlight voices traditionally excluded from tarot imagery. Discuss community‑building around tarot. Track how meanings of individual cards shift across time & geography. Feature creators of indie decks, teachers, readers, authors, booksellers, and community organizers.

Divination context:

Doesn’t endorse future‑prediction; views fate as non‑fixed. Still fascinated by divination as a cultural practice (e.g. Romani fortune‑telling).

Tarot journey:

First deck (2020): Lisa McLoughlin’s Textured Tarot... By 2025: Owns multiple indie decks and runs an online shop with Tarot & Oracle cards :)
