  • #146: The Artistic Visions of Callie French
Rose Red and Jaymi chat art and deck creation with Callie French. Whereas Jaymi is a derpy owl, and rose the shiny raven, Callie envisions herself as the self-taught, painting artist elephant. In addition to painting wonderful images, decks; she is a wise crone teaching tarot and learning from her students. From watercolor to oils Callie paints cards for herself and US Games. She’s working on a deck that features cultures, people, and global locations from the 1800s.

Callie takes us on her deck creation process and gives us a glimpse into her tarot practices. She approaches tarot like a heartbeat, with an ebb and flow, a pulse.

You can also see Callie’s work in the Rana George Lenormand and the forthcoming Pride Tarot in 2020 (proceeds from the sales go to a local youth center for US Games).
