In Episode 50 of Tatami Talk, It's our 2nd anniversary episode. We talk  about the Antalya Grand Slam, All Japan Judo Championships by Weight  Category, and our thoughts on this past year and plans for the future  for the podcast.

In Episode 49 of Tatami Talk, we open up by talking about the first Judo  tournament held in Southern California since the pandemic started. How  big the tournament was, how it was run and how long it took. We are then  going to talk about how Japan has gotten rid of their elementary School  National tournament for Judo and has plans to replace it with something  else, to help protect young players from over training and cutting  weight. As well as severe pressure from parents and coaches'  expectations for achievement. We finish up talking about coaching or  training family and friends. How to train someone close to you. Where to  draw the line at. What do we expect from teaching them? With our own  experience teaching family and friends. 

In Episode 48 of Tatami Talk, We conducted three interviews after the  three club scrimmage tournament we had with Hollywood Judo Dojo, Goltz  Judo Club and Sawtelle Judo Dojo. We talked with the head instructor of  Hollywood Judo Dojo Philippe Morotti about the three club scrimmage and  how he came up with the idea of having a small three Club tournament. As  well as talking with the head of Goltz Judo Gary Goltz. We also talked  with one of the head instructors of Sawtelle Judo Dojo Jerry Hazemoto.  We got their opinions on the three dojo scrimmage. What they hope to get  from it and the promotion of Judo between dojos.

Anthony had with one of our listeners  who actually competed in the USA Judo Submission Grappling division at  the President's Cup in Texas this past year. In episode 42 of Tatami Talk with Juan and Anthony.  We talk about the  small crosstown tournament we had at our dojo with Sawtelle and Goltz  Judo.
