This episode features a wild ride of topics that turns into a healthy and productive conversation about how perspective can change everything in a person's life but also in the church. Justin Cook provides insight on how the church can change it's perspective at times to help it be more effective in the community. For today's session, Marty and Josh talk about their one epic therapy session they would love to have with someone who is dead and someone who is alive. This discussion leads them to talk about the newest podcast they are listening to called "The Rise and Fall of Mars Hill". The podcast talks about the former head pastor of Mars Hill church in Seattle, Mark Driscoll, and how he became someone who people loved then hated. Is this concept of superstar pastors closer than we think? The guys break this thought down and talk about why ever church is at risk for a rise and fall show themselves. This week starts off with a bang as we dive into the start of the 2020(1) Tokyo Olympics this weekend. We discuss the Olympics, the Olympic village, and the news that the village is absolutely filled with one thing.....sex. The discussion then starts about the psychology of sex and some misconceptions about it that people don't realize, don't agree with, or have figured out for themselves. Freedom or Fleedom? These two concepts were brought up by Marty as the two discussed the concept of freedom after July 4th. The two guys also get into conversation about the daily life routines that we all might do different but do not realize it. On this week's episode it is Marty's turn to broadcast from the beach while on vacation. We dive into a discussion on Josh's love of livermush and fresh beach seafood. We also discuss the benefits of vacation and recharging, which turns into a discussion on love.
