Taylor Gidney — better known online as @mama_gids — has been riding sleds for nearly her entire life. She grew up snowmobiling in Ontario, first riding “squirrel” with her dad when her hands were barely big enough to hold the gas cap of an old Polaris Indy. At age 9, she got her very own sled alongside her brother — and that’s when she got hooked
Taylor has been riding snowmobiles practically her whole life. From growing up on the trails of Ontario to carving deep-powder lines in British Columbia, she’s built a reputation as a passionate rider, a strong advocate for women in sledding, and a leader in the back-country community. She’s also a former Widescape ambassador and co-creator of a swag line that funds avalanche safety training for women riders.
